Should Immigration Pleas Be Off-Limits as RJ Topics…?

So this guy from India is putting out a plea for "help" in moving to Canada. We in the U.S. and Canada are accustomed to this sort of immigration trolling: Everyone wants to come to our shores, and they'll do just about anything to get here, including misusing a great feature of a great site.

The RJ Forums are a great, free, way for our community to discuss anything and everything. I don't think immigration trolling should be allowed here --maybe others have their own viewpoints on this…

If the guy is genuine in his plea for help, then I don't understand the problem in him posing the question. Without knowing whether he is a troll, in the actual sense, why can't his thread be among the "anything and everything" items to discuss?

Nothing should be off limits as an RJ topic. But we can make fun of him.

They're interested in immigrating alright. Immigrating your cash from your bank account to their hands.

    That you can't do
you either need to talk to your govt.
or be a nice welcoming person and can tell the world that your country is filled with good willing and welcoming hosts ;)

    BTW,
we Indians never treated Britishers meanly who took advantage of our goodness and hospitality when they first landed in India. At those times, Britishers "Your ancestors" were totally dependent on the work force of painstakingly hard working, abused and discriminated Indians.

The British left you with a functioning government, a consolidated country, a judiciary, a public health system, an educational system and good roads. They also left without a fight. If you look at all the colonized countries of the world, the ones that had the British are doing the best. The country was fragmented and backward when they went in. Just look at your caste system which you created, not the British.

A functioning govt.? They left India when we needed them the most, they're the reason for Indian partition into India, Pakistan and Bangladesh that left millions dead during the time of partition. They left without a proper handover.

A conciliated country? That my friend... We should thank one of our Indian leaders Sardar vallabhai Patel, and not Britishers. They tried to break us apart... Break and rule.

A judiciary? No...If the British judiciary system is really good, we would have gotten our independence long ago... Unfortunately as we still follow some of those old laws, we're facing some problems.

They left us without a fight? That's because of Gandhi's non violence resistance.

Public health system and educational system? But, they are as old as Indian culture.

I don't know about other colonized countries, but I can surely day that India is very rich before Britishers came and they left us poor.

Of course I don't completely blame on Britishers... They did some good things as well for example helping us to end sati gamanah. But, most of them are during the early times when they were new to India.
