I believed in Gushers commercials. Kid's heads turning into fruit heads.
    I was terrified of them.

You'd turn green if you eat your boogies.

Women get pregnant from kissing .

Babies come out of belly buttons and not vaginas.

My dad's adams apple was actually a grape that had been stuck in his throat for years and years.

Thunderstorms meant that God was angry or crying.

When laying down on the side with my ear to the pillow I could hear my heartbeat and I thought the sound was made by a grain of rice falling out of my ear.

I believed that aliens impregnated my mother with me, because that's what she would tell me.

I also believed that if you wished hard enough, you could jump inside the tv and be apart of whatever show was being shown.

I was such a weird kid.

I thought my parents would be charged if I watched an informercial because it said "the following is a paid program." I changed the channel quickly or turned off the tv.

For a long time I believed I was the center of the universe and everybody was watching me and that they only existed in order to have an effect on me.It's not as uncommon as it sounds-I think it's called gaybrain.the real question is when I began to realize other people were as real as me.

I'm similar to John.. as a kid I wanted to be an actor and I thought that everything you saw on tv was just people being recorded by invisible cameras. So as a kid I was walk around the house acting out scenes since I thought I was on TV.

I also thought if I talked to my toys enough they would talk back to me.. obviously I watched Toy Story and PuppetMaster way too much as a kid. But I don't regret any of these thoughts since I felt very creative and found life to be magical in some way. icon_redface.gif

Haha that's really interesting. I can see how kids could have that perspective.
I also always tried going into the TV, kind of like Poltergeist, except I was scared and thought it looked cool!

Whenever I heard the term "self-cleaning oven" I always thought a little door on the side of the oven would slide open and a mechanical arm with a sponge would reach into the oven and start scrubbing.
