older gay men less likely to get married

    a UK dating site did a poll:

    62% of gay men aged 18 -> 25 stated they would be open to getting married

    45% of gay men aged >26 years and above saw marriage in their future



    consider the spread of about 20% but there are a lot fewer gay men in the range 18->25 than >25 so marriage is just not that popular in the old guys.

    I notice a lot of older gay men have been around the scene too long and get jaded, bitter and cynical. I can't imagine spending more time that I have to with these sorts, so it's no surprise that they do not find solace in a marriage or committed anything, no healthy person is attracted to the vibe of the cynic.
