Ok Guys help me out, and explain....

Why is it that in age range preference, dating 15 years younger is Good, or preferred, but dating someone 3 years older or more is OUT ? Seems most profiles fall within these parameters.
I embrace and am proud of my age, body, career/income, activity level, etc... And believe another 15 years will be equally rewarding.

Are Gay men Color Blind, but prejudice to age?

Not everyone is prejudiced against guys older than themselves. I personally have never even dated a guy less than 5 years older than me and the first man I had a sexual experience with was 45+ years older than me. That's not because I am into older men or I have a fetish it was just where the chips landed and it happened so don't assume everyone is an ageist icon_smile.gif

The irony is that it's the older men that go for the young.

That's helpful though because I don't have the nerve to approach anyone so fortunately they all approached me.

Your exactly right, and I'm asking WHY is this?

But if younger guys did not like it then the older guys would lose interest so the dynamic is reliant on both age groups.

The data you've collected thus far is merely a sample size in comparison to the diverse LGBTQ community. So no, gay men are not prejudice to age, that's only a generalization.

I think it's because old gay men were born in harsh times. They never fully had fun in their younger years. That's why a lot go for younger. Then there's the young guys that go for younger. Those young guys are seeking a father figure so they end up with a dude a lot older than them.

My cousin is 42 and about to marry his fifth 20-something wife. I'm younger than him but consistently date guys in their 20's. I think it's genetic.
