Federal Judge Rules Gays Are Protected by Sex Discrimination Laws

Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly has issued a game-change ruling finding that gays and lesbians are protected from employment discrimination by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

Does this mean that we don't need ENDA?

I would still want to see it through as it is more assertive to anti-discrimination than just some interpretation of already-existing law(s).

Still remembering story time at the local library when I was a kid, ever grateful to reference desk staff in pre-internet college, having read a number of works by Librarian of Congress Daniel Boorstin, and finding the LOC to be probably the most beautiful building in DC, I've long been enamored by the institution and now sad to read that a supervisor there would treat gay people so badly, completely unbecoming of their post.

Yet how oddly appropriate that we might find our orientation written into civil rights from inside the doors of this most venerable keeper of records.
