Will it help them demonize them among independents or is it only to rally their left-wing base? Good sign the Democrats fear discussion of the real issues. Who can blame them given both domestic and international disasters.

This is just more anti-GOP and anti-Independent propaganda from the political party that loves to pander to both corrupt organized labor and the lazy freeloaders that populate most inner city neighborhoods. What else is newicon_question.gif

    Yes, even Harry Reid says:

"“[W]hat is un-American is when shadowy billionaires pour unlimited money into our democracy to rig the system to benefit themselves and the wealthiest 1 percent,” Reid said last month."

Now, there's a billionaire hedge-fund manager who is going to give $100 million dollars to try to influence the White House about the Key Stone Pipeline.

We need to stop Tom Steyer!

    What's that? He's a wealthy Democrat? Oh.

Never mind, nothing to see here, move along.

Obama campaigned that he wouldn't approve the pipeline and was elected on that and other fulfilled promises. The people who voted for Obama don't want the junk tar sands oil. Billionaires did not influence Obama's decision on that. The people did. The country wants clean energy. Drill, baby, drill, sounds barbaric to people in their right minds.

The middle class has stagnated and declined and the school system is broken, and your response is to call people lazy free loaders? You must live in a bubble.

I don't live in a bubble. I live in an older northern city that has been run into the sewer by the democratic party for the past 50 years. Most of Buffalo's middle class both white and black have fled to the suburbs because they were getting fed up with the democratic politicians and their endless pandering to corrupt labor unions and the unmotivated urban poor who felt rightfully entitled to free handouts from the government. Plus the school system in Buffalo and most other older northern cities deteriorated in educational quality because of middle class flight along with deterioration of urban infrastructure which hastened additional flight of middle class folks to the suburbs. These older northern cities are in horrible shape because of the democrats failed urban policies and their overtaxing of business and industry. Plus nepotism and corruption in democratic controlled city governments became the norm in most older northern cities. It is easy for you to stick up for the democrats because you live near a large city (Minneapolis) that has escaped the worst of the American urban crises and has successfully fought back against population decline and urban decay. It is not so in cities like Buffalo, Baltimore, and Detroit that have been under monopoly democratic control and since the democrats seized complete control of city hall 50 to 60 years ago, the demographics and fortunes of these three cities and many others like them has been all down hill with little end in sight. It is the democratic party that is lethal poison for these city's futures because they refuse to change their public policies. It is continued overtaxing of business and hard working individuals combined with their pandering to the corrupt labor unions and the unmotivated urban poor that is making full scale urban revitalization very difficult.
