Do any of you go out with your boyfriend out to clubs and bars? If not, would you?

Basically what the question says. My boyfriend began to go out to bars and clubs about a year and a half ago. I would not mind and still don't. He has invited me but I would pass because I feel it would not be my thing. But recently I have been getting an itch to try it and finally did and loved it. It was him and me and one of our friends. I had a alot of fun. The music, the ambiance of certain bars, and the craziness of it. I really want to be going back often.

However, I feel his friends would mind. I have never met his friends (they are co workers) and they have never asked to meet me. When they go out, none of them take their man out with them. I feel if I do start going out with them, they would stop asking him eventually because "ugh why does he have to bring him?" But my boyfriend is the only person I would be going out with because my friends, not his, are not about that life. He is my only "connection".

To wrap it up, would you guys mind if your friends brought his or her partner out to clubs and bars? Do any of you do it? Do you guys separate your boyfriend time from your friend time?

P.s, we have been together for 4 years
P.s.s, I am new to these forums! Hello!

My partner and I go out to bars/clubs frequently. We also meet up with some of his friends (who are single) and there's no issue. He will also go out by himself and meet some of his friends for an evening out, I have no issue with that.

It's all about enjoying each other, trusting each other and if the others don't like your presence, then they can stay home. It doesn't hurt to allow him to go alone too, which it sounds like you've done often in the past.

You're a couple, his friends should expect that you'll be going with him more than not.

I did with my previous bf but, I got the impression of being his bragging rights. I am not so inclined to go out with a guy now. Only a few female friends.

He drank my beer and later said he would never pay for me. His friends were pawing at me.

Lol ewwwww wtf. Relationship ended next day and he wants me to stay with him in LA now? So confusing.

    Sooo not likely.

Because I went once and it was the worst experience ever. They would hit on me and my friends , even though they were straight and one of them was next to his soon to be wife. They all acted like crazy bitches in heat, so not a proper place to go with a partner that's for sure (unless youre into the orgy stuff).

If you want to hang out, have some drinks just go to a regular bar, thats what Ive always done.

I have in the past and it sometimes ends up awkward, especially if I'm somewhere like an underwear party and the guy doesn't like that type of environment. I'm pretty outgoing when I'm at bars/clubs, and if I go with my bf he might mistake that for something else, especially if another guy is touching my shirtless body (although that in no way means that I want to cheat on him).

Of course I was talking about gay bars, wasnt that te OP question? Just go to regular bars, you will get good music, good drinks, nice enviroment, all this according to your taste, instead of all the loud cheap and horrible music/ambient of gay bars. Just my opinion, I know lots of guys here love the gay envirement.

No your probably right and I misinterpreted the question. I much prefer good old fashioned pubs or rock bars and you don't really get gay bars that cater to my music tastes so I don't go to gay bars much either.

I only go to gay bars when I want to try and find a boy friend but my straight friends come with me and they love it. They find it hilarious they get hit on more than I do lol

Gay bars are annoying. I went to one in POnce, Puerto Rico and it was very loud. The techno music sucked and everyone was just bitching around. I also detest drag queens. lol

I have nothing against drag but it is scary to me. Especially the ones that single you out to make you uncomfortable as if they are doing a comedy routine. icon_mad.gif

owl_bundy saidwhy not. people do it all the time. it seems like more people go to the club with their boyfriends, girlfriends, or friends to dance or get drunk or kick it amongst themselves than there are people that are there to talk to others, socialize, and hookup to tell you the truth. there's people that say they hookup in gay clubs but being that there's grindr and other hookup sites out now..... that has changed that.

Haha that is true, I did see alot of couples. Did not think of that until now.
