Cockocracy: Size Matters In Locker Room?

I ran across http://www.outsports.com/2014/3/17/5515302/penis-size-matters-locker-room-gay-straight-study at outsports while browsing another article today. While some of the conclusions are in the "no duh" category (like guys check out other guys in the locker room), others seem down right ludicrous to me. That would be conclusions like: dick size is more important than athletic ability in being chosen for a team, guy's social standing in the group is determined by their dick size and guys with the smaller dicks need to work harder to be incorporated in the team. To me it sounds like the work of an ├╝ber size queen trying to justify conclusions. Maybe I'm just not experienced enough with team sports as an adult to know the difference. I mean I know that culture, especially gay culture, can be size obsessed. Even taking that into account this seems like a pile of BS to me though. Thoughts?

Have people ever thought that it is in our "Human Social Society" that issues like this actually matter lol

Look at the animal kingdom ??? Things like that dont seem to matter but due to our mind frames and the way society as gone every little thing matters.

I mean for me using the gym showers i would use them with exception of the usual nerves of never having used them, the fact of being naked with other people and that my ocd will make me act odd, but i suffer from acne and have scars down my legs and that and my bit of a belly are the main issues putting me off using them as my skin is quite bad and i aint really that much concerned what people think of my size.

I think there's some truth to it. At least in western cultures, a man's worth is "measured" by his penis size. He might suck at his sport or he might be a bit feeble in personality, but if he's got a big dick, then he's a cool dude that everyone wants to know.

I work out with quite a few guys and have no idea what any of their dick sizes are.

    Penis Fact #9

An international Men's Health survey reports that 79 percent of men have growers, 21 percent have showers
    http://www.menshealth.com/mhlists/penis_facts/printer.php

The OPs article did not address the grower vs shower factor in locker room comparisons, according to statistics, if in a given 2 hour period in the gym, there are 100 men, 20 of them will be showers. If out of the 100 men, 50 of them are working out on the gym floor and 50 of them are in the locker room, its possible that 10 showers could be walking around the locker room at any given time, while the other 40 men who are growers, hold the showers in high regards.

It would appear showers have the direct advantage to become 'the king of the world', since there are fewer of them, their stud status becomes elevated only due to the visual aspects, I think we should all keep that in mind, for men, its all visual.

One has to wonder, why the percentage isn't the other way around, 80% showers would take all the stigma away and most men would be very happy campers, but then the poor guys who would be 20% growers would never have a chance, I guess this is the great male equalizer, what one lacks downstairs can be made up, upstairs icon_neutral.gif

I think the better question to ask men, instead of

"are you hung?" "are you a shower or grower?" would be a more appropriate

It might sound ridiculous but I'm terrified of using gym showers just in case I'm the smallest guy there. It's totally irrational though because even if I am it makes no difference.
