Usually I avoid getting into the hot bed of racial preferences but this video is an interesting watch. Even though its targeted to the heterogeneous population, I would think that similar results would be found in the homogeneous population

    Probably under our "Most-Dominant" race.

I guess we don't count in this study.

I would imagine that you they would then classify you based on general racial appearance. Not very nice but they needed probably just needed to stick to more concrete data collection and analysis.

Remember in any analysis, data in the 'other' or ambiguous categories would tend to be in the smaller amount. So any conclusions that they found was on the overall information.

"It's just a/my preference..." but they forgot to say:

"...based on the way white-centric society (being the population majority but also the privileged group) perceives desirability, masculinity, exoticism, etc."

But it's shorter to say "it's just a preference."

This data is only reflective of people who use OKCupid, not the racial groups on a whole. Most straight people don't even use dating sites.

btw lol @ Middle Eastern women being the most desired. Most of the ones I've seen have had huge noses.

Oh, also those stats don't correlate with reality. White women marry outside of their racial group at much higher rates than women from any other ethnicity.

OKCupid also did a homogenous survey. Here's the results.

Black men - 34.6% success rate
Indian men - 37.8% success rate
Pacific Islander men - 37.9% success rate
Asian men - 38.3% success rate
Hispanic men - 41.9% success rate
'Other' men - 42.1% success rate
Naive American men - 44% success rate
White men - 45% success rate
Middle Eastern men - 48.2% success rate

As you can see, the data is very closely lumped together and there are no significant outliers. There's only a 15% difference between Black men and Middle Eastern men. Also a good percentage of men in the 'Other' category are insecure Pacific Islanders/Indians/etc
