Looking to find some retro (1980) basketball shorts or something similar like mesh short shorts or even european short swim trunks. Anyone know where I can purchase some?

Yeah, those were the bomb in my day. WHY in the name of hell everyone started wearing knee length BB shorts is beyond my comprehension. They're baggy, ugly, and hide those luscious things!

I'd hardly call them shorts. They're more like capri pants. icon_lol.gif

I would have been fine with them dribbling naked. I might have even joined the team. icon_razz.gif

I kept my HS gym shorts like that for ages, (they were just rough canvas material). But finally split them in half doing squats icon_redface.gif

Nowadays, I usually wear these (They are actually a bit more baggy than "old" gym shorts - the model may be wearing a size too small.)

I have about ten pair. In fact, that's what I am wearing right now. Unlike most of the crepe from IM, they are actually pretty durable. And the pockets are a nice improvement over "gym" shorts. Easy to carry a cell phone or keys.

Hmm. well the link doesn't seem to work. just google "undergear windsurfer trunk."

To complete the look you need those knee-high socks.
