    What's up guys?

I was wondering does anyone feel satisfied with their body? or are you always wanting more? i feel like no matter how much i workout. Or no matter how much people tell me i look good, big, strong etc. I never feel that way and always want to go higher and higher in my training.

That of course is not a bad thing at all. Visual marking in the brain, and trying to find problem areas. Is a big part of fitness and working out. But no matter how many times people may compliment me. Someone is going to say I'm not where i could be, or I'm not fit enough for this or that.

That's why i feel so much of fitness is mental. You don't let the iron rule you, you rule the iron. But when it comes to wanting to be the best. It's kind of like Cell for those of you who watched Dragon Ball Z.

You want to achieve the ''ultimate form'' and you want to the the strongest and most powerful. So you work hard and keep changing and changing your body or ''form'' in this case. Kind of like Cell did until he reached what he felt was his perfect state.

Are you satisfied with your body? do you always want more? is your goal always changing?

People should workout and stay fit not to be labelled as sexy or to get laid, but to have a healthier and happier life. I've you're fit, you live longer, have a higher self esteem, have more energy and you'll become likeable.

I'm OK with my body and the way I look. The only thing that I would hate is to get bald someday.

I'm never happy with my looks or my body but when it comes to my looks I do some times at least feel content that I look ok by my standards.

Another thing is, beauty is subjective. People find different things attractive. There is no specific way to be sexy or handsome. All of that shit the media shows is not genuine. Just photoshop and plastic surgery. If you feel ugly, don't worry, there will always be someone that thinks you're hot.

I workout to stay fit and healthy. The ''look'' per say is something i'm doing as a personal huge goal. When i was yonger and in my wrestling and football days. I looked up wildly to The Ultimate Warrior (R.I.P), Michael Jai White, Stallone, Randy Savage, The Rock etc. I want to get good size and proportion. And i want to be healthy and happy for decades to come. And to pass it on to my kids (That's way in the future though icon_smile.gif)

That's very true. And, I'm pretty content with that aspect. I just want to have the right size and proportion is what i strive for. Some people will think I'm hideous, others might find me attractive. And that's with everyone icon_smile.gif so i never take that personal.

I was at one point in my life. I always compared myself to others from the time I was a teen but I think I have managed to come up with the formula suited for me and I am just trying to maintain my fitness for now.

Some days, I look in the mirror and think "Hey, I'm pretty hot"... icon_biggrin.gif

Then I go outside and see all the hot bodies and male models frolicking around and suddenly I feel like Shrek....icon_confused.gif

just stop comparing yourself with everyone else. Problem solved.

I think this is like Maslow's pyramid: once you accomplish something you go for the next thing.

So if you keep working on your looks is because you see potential inside yourself to improve. I'm on the same boat as you, and also trying to be better as a person overall (just like you I guess).

I'm way satisfied. I went from being extremely skinny and barely being able to do a pushup to doing pull-ups with a weight vest around me. I'm turning into a little BEAST! icon_twisted.gif

No, I never will. I honestly don't like what watches me in the mirror every day. I know there's nothing particularly attractive about me. To either gender.

I wish I could be taller, with blue eyes, a smaller nose, less bigger lips, and much more muscular.

Thank you all for the responses. I think YPP1 was right in trying accomplish the next thing. I can be a bit of an over achiever when I'm working towards something. And i always want ways to get better at everything i do.

I look in the mirror almost every single say. And examine my problem areas. It's literally like sculpting yourself and seeing what comes next.

Don't get discouraged at all though. We are all here for a reason, and we all have our own battles. Mentally, spiritually, physically, and everything in between. You all have worked very hard icon_smile.gif and will hit all your goals very soon.
