Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this in. But i was curious if anyone knows where to get larger size shoes?

I have had a problem for most of my life with this. Cause i wear a size 17 and a half, and can never find anything for me. Even the Jordan's i ordered had to be ''special special'' made icon_lol.gif

Is there any stores that carry a 17 or above? i have a big event to go to for my work next week. And i have to have nice dress shoes or they won't let me in icon_lol.gif

Your best bet is online. Or finding a pair you like and contacting the company. Or seeing if they have larger ones ready to ship.

I tried a few different places online. But not many do the one day shipping. Wish more stores carried bigger shoe sizes icon_surprised.gif

My oldest son wears around a 16. In fact, his shoe size was following his age during his teens: 13=13, 14=14, 15=15. No stores carried above a 14.

Because he was mainly wearing athletic shoes at that age, we went to larger sports stores. They would special-order his size, of a shoe he saw and liked, with the prior understanding that if it didn't fit well we didn't have to buy it. Somewhat simpler and more foolproof than buying online.

For dressier shoes we did the same thing at shoe departments of better stores. I recall Nordstrom's being one that accommodated us, and maybe Macy's, it's been some years. And of course they may not today, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I would make online your last option. Shoe fit is very varied today, one shoe's US size 10 is another shoe's 11. The days of a man knowing his shoe size and having every shoe of that stated size fit him are long gone, since shoe manufacture went global. Today I wear anything from a 10 to a 13; I consider the claimed size merely a rough estimate and starting point.
