The 73-year-old man charged with murder in the shooting at a Jewish community center and retirement community in Overland Park, Kansas, that left three people dead is reportedly the former Grand Dragon of the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

Fraiser Glenn Cross Jr., of Aurora, Mo., was taken into custody in the parking lot of an elementary school near the scene of the shootings, and was booked on a charge of first degree murder, according to the Johnson County, Kansas, Sheriff's Office.

Jews in Kansas? Former Grand Dragon of the KKK hates Jews enough to kill them? Whoddah thunk it?!

The death penalty would be too good for him. He needs to be locked in a cell where an audio recording of Holocaust survivors recounting their stories is played and visual images of the atrocities are projected on the cell walls on infinite loop 24/7 until he dies.

It hurts to see this happening just on the eve of Passover and in the present. It really hurts.

Jewish Center Shooting Officially Classified a 'Hate Crime'

Witnesses say Frazier Glenn Cross, who also goes by the last name Miller, yelled a Nazi salute after the shooting Sunday in Overland Park, one day before the start of Passover. Police say Cross then drove to a nearby Jewish assisted-living facility, shooting another victim to death before surrendering to authorities.

The well-known white supremacist and former Ku Klux Klan leader was later recorded screaming “Heil Hitler!” during his arrest.

Very sad incident. I always find it troubling how someone can have so much hatred for other people and what a waste of time he spent on things that were counter productive.

The second amendment is almost always defended by republicans and conservatives. The kkk was all democrats. Maybe the left, which makes up today's democrats, should defend him.

    Like these folks? http://www.jpfo.org

If I were on the jury, this guy would be given the death penalty. Although at his age, he'll die of natural causes before he runs though all the appeals.

Would it be insensitive to ask you to keep us informed, about developments & facts the media would not know and/or report?

And it's what makes America strong! USA! USA! USA!

icon_rolleyes.gif We're going to Hell in a hand-basket, as the expression goes. I'm glad that saner parts of the world recognize this, and will be able to accurately document our downfall when we're gone. Gawd knows we'll blame it on everyone and everything but ourselves.

I hate it when people deliberately ignore the realignment that came with the Civil Rights Act and later, the Southern Strategy.

They do it because 1) they think it annoys liberals, which is their foremost aim 99% of the time, 2) they think low-information sheep might be convinced, 3) tney are desperate to wash the stain of being on the wrong side of everything off of themselves, and 4) they are dishonest, craven low-lifes.

Yes, and the "other ones" who defend second amendment rights will not.

The "other ones", meaning sane Republicans who can think apart from what the NRA tells them to think, are a very silent minority.

There's so much dense in this post I don't know where to begin, lol.

Beginning with: the Southern Democrats (Dixiecrats) who supported segregation and the KKK have morphed into today's Southern Republicans.

It began with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which Dixiecrats considered a betrayal of their values by the Democratic Party. Richard Nixon and his Southern Strategy exploited this disaffection.

So that today's Democratic Party isn't your Southern father's Democratic Party. You must look to Southern Republicans for a continuation of that tradition of racial inequality, intolerance & hatred. Not only of Blacks, Jews, minorities, unions & immigrants, but of gays & women, too.

So that while once the KKK may have been largely Conservative Democrats, over half a century ago, today they continue to follow an extreme Right Wing Fascist philosophy, that only Conservatives, Republicans & Teabaggers can offer to them. Democrats have evolved, while Republicans have regressed, to become the party of choice for White Supremacist groups like the KKK.

Listen carefully over the next week. I predict we won't be hearing one national level Republican addressing the issue of keeping guns out of the hands of lunatics.

If the NRA doesn't endorse the idea, not one Republican will dare to speak up.

sunjbill saidTerrible thing that happened, and then folks have to throw politics into it, like it was a Republican's or Democrat's fault. There are nuts everywhere and if they want a gun or do violence they will get a gun or do violence. Turning a horrible shooting into a political shooting match...terrible.

Interesting. So when the perp shouts "Heil Hitler" as he's being apprehended, that has nothing to do with politics? icon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif

LOL...IMO, the culture here is poisonous.
A LOT of the people here are poisonous.

Which is why yours truly travels outside the country for at least 3 months out of every year. Hopefully find a partner overseas and ditch the citizenship.

    POISON!
