what music do you people listen to when you are angry?

    what bands/tunes/albums?

i'm old fashioned as fuck so i always go back to bands like nirvana, hole, etc

is there anything angrier than good ol nirvana? I haven't listened to them in like ages tho.

there's no anger in music anymore.

unless it's some hip hop shit like azealia banks or smthng. i love her.

or die antwood i don't know

but mostly everything sounds so electronically boring today.

Hm it varies but I mostly find myself going to Grunge, Punk rock, and Metal on my ipod.

Bands = Hole, Nirvana, Kittie, Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Static-X, Staind, System of a Down, Bad Religion, Metallica, & so many others.

How about trying something that will soothe your anger instead? Seems counterintuitive to add more fuel to the fire.

I was gonna say System of a down too. but for some reason I can't seem to listen to their albums like I used to.

    I'm growing old i guess.

I just can't deal w/ metal anymore. it's too much noise.

for me it has to be some alternative shit w/ some sort of melodies. I'm looking for new bands. that's why I created this thread. I'm kinda sick of korn.

are there any other bands that sound like PJ Harvey or Fiona Apple even? that's the kind of faggotry I'm looking for. guys

I tried that like 2 times. didn't work.

I need angry music to purge my negative emotionz. it works as a catharsis for me. i need to let it all out like I'm using a punching bag.

I like to 'people watch'. Once, while waiting on my car to be serviced, I walked 1/4 mile to a local shopping center and found a shady spot to observe.
I began to notice the type of music emanating from the cars as they drove through the parking lot:

    1) rap or heavy bass thumping music equaled angry, hostile expressions and or rude driving habits.

    2) pop, easy listening or country music equaled mainly expressionless or neutral facial looks and courteous, reasonable driving.

Just an observation, but something to think about next time you suffer road rage.

I listen to heavier metal bands. Stuff like Bastard Priest, Goatpenis, Truppensturm, Necrowretch, etc.

A song like this gets you pumped like nothing else. Saw these guys live recently in some small bar and it was a maelstrom of testosteron and violence.

I have a whole playlist on my iTunes devoted to this topic (it definitely pumps you up when you need an extra boost). One of my all time favorites would be "seventy times 7" by Brand New. The lead singer of Brand New wrote it about the lead singer of Taking Back Sunday. The two were best friends but the lead singer of Taking Back Sunday slept with the lead singer of Brand New's girlfriend. Taking Back Sunday responded with the song "There's No I in Team" which is another good one. Pardon Me by Incubus is a good one. Artists like Eminem and Pink are good to listen to. They have a song together "won't back down" which is great.
