If you're staying up late, NASA says tonight is the peak of the 2014 Lyrid meteor shower and the best viewing time is between midnight and dawn.

Lyrids are pieces of debris from the periodic Comet C/1861 G1 Thatcher and have been observed for over 2,600 years.
