NYT: I fell in love with a guy in high school. Nothing happened romantically between us, but we did hang out a few times. Eight years later, walking through a grocery store with my partner, I saw him again. He didn’t acknowledge me; he may not have seen me. But I felt a torrent of emotions. We are different people now, and I am with someone I care for deeply. But something about seeing him unsettled me. Whatever I felt for him, I’ve never felt again. And several times a year, I imagine my life with him in it.

    What should I do?

He's not the same person you knew back then. He's a stranger with the -face- of the person you knew back then.

If you're happy with the partner you're with, and yet constantly looking for greener grass... then you're not paying enough attention to and enjoying the grass you're standing on to it's fullest.

I agree that it sounds like an issue of "The grass is always greener".

If it were me, I would hope that I appreciated the guy I've decided to be with enough to not act on these "emotions".

Besides, I've already been with my high school 'crush' icon_wink.gif .
