Sovaldi cures hepatitis-C in 90% of cases; other available drugs only reduce it to a chronic condition. Costs $1,000 per day. Hepatitis-C is said to be fatal in 25% of cases.

Awesome, people who view your profile and see your forum posts will see how ignorant you are regarding STD's.

    ^^

as if I go on RJ looking for sex lol

you don't get hep-C from blood transfusions or hemodialysis (maybe 1-2% of total cases), you get it from a junkie hooker or people who've had sex with junkie hookers, so I'm not worried

You have every right to be worried.

My ex-director was a woman who had unprotected sex with a guy who looked very healthy indeed. She managed to get hepatitis C through having unprotected vaginal sex.

Hepatitis C is also co-infected with other STIs such as HIV - there was a massive rise in co-infection in England and the treatment for both conditions becomes complicated if together.

It tends to be more extreme sex that hepatitis C was - but as my director pointed out in a Hep-C awareness course she delivered, How extreme is extreme? It could be that my boss is extremely unlucky but just goes to show it can happen. There are people out there living with Hep C who are having an absolutely miserable time of it. No-one deserves this condition.

I think you should be more worried about how and with whom you have unprotected sex with and take some responsibility

The latest treatments for Pulmonary Hypertension are around $1,000 USD per day also. The treatment is typically not paid by private carriers but by Medicare and Medicaid. I am not surprised carriers are not paying for Sovaldi, which by the way they would not be required to pay for under the ACA.
