I refuse to travel for more than an hour to work as I don't get paid for that time.

My office is five blocks from my apartment and my gym is just two blocks further. For me, that's all the commute I want.

I hate commuting. When I lived in Richmond my bf and I lived literally seven minutes by car from our main store. Then we moved to a larger house that was 10 minutes from the store. I told people I really resented the extra three minutes. They all thought I was joking.

There's loads of people but no jobs where I live so everyone has to travel quite far.

The furthest I've ever commuted is 9 miles. Currently, it's about 4. I'm not a big fan of taking more than 30 min to get to work.

I've done an hour each way for about a year and hated it. I wouldn't do any more than 30mins now.

I can't stand long commute. I'm glad that my school and work were all against traffic. My work is 8 miles away and it takes me 15 minutes.

Not a typical LA commute and I'm happy about that. icon_smile.gif

30 minutes. I wouldn't want to commute any further. Time is precious.

15 minutes commute, pretty easy. I did an hour or so commute way, way back when I was a wee lad back and forth. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

I drive an hour one way and I hate it. My ideal would be 35 minutes or less.

I think fifteen minutes is about the longest that I'd be willing to commute. I've done up to 90 minutes each way before, which is a huge waste of life. (I suppose if you were riding in a train or something and could do something during that time, it might be different.) I rode my bike 30 minutes each way for a few years, but at least I was getting cardio time.

Now, I have a leisurely ten second commute down the hallway. Twenty, if I pour a second cup of coffee on the way. icon_razz.gif

In big metropolitan areas you actually have to measure a commute in time. I use to commute 32 miles each way which equated to 35 minutes at 6AM and 90 minutes at 4PM.

Now I live in the City so it's about 3.5 miles and it's 15 minutes in the morning and 20 on the way home. That's unless I get behind a Prius driver….arrrrggghhh! icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif

    It depends ..
If i am on lay-overs hotels or crash-pads , always are close ..
In Atlanta (my home base ) about 15mn .
From my flat in Townsville QLD , it is about 3.5 hours ..
