The comments are disgusting. What an asshole.

Longtime NBA team owner Donald Sterling is being roundly criticized for remarks he allegedly made regarding African-Americans that many would view as racist.
Sterling, who has owned the Los Angeles Clippers for nearly three decades, made the comments in a 10-minute argument he had with girlfriend V. Stiviano on April 9, according to TMZ, which posted the audio Saturday.

Prejudice is a weakness we all have. If we do not admit this about ourselves and acknowledge this weakness, we cannot grow. Most of us are not, however, advocating against civil rights or equality and in most it doesn't usually rise to a level of a hate. The ones who are often the worst are the ones saying things, "I don't have a racist bone in my body," or "I'm not anti-gay, but..." or "I have nothing against women, I just don't think they..."

I agree with you in the sense that in most of us, it does not rise to the level of discriminating against people or hate, but I think we all some kind of prejudice within us.

See, now you've admitted it to yourself. That's the first step. Now you can take the proper steps to get over it and slap those bitches.

Your rightwing reference neglected one little point about this racist's political contributions. True, he gave a total of $6K to 2 Democrats in the 1990s.

BUT DO YOU WANNA KNOW HOW MUCH HE'S GIVEN TO RIGHTWING RACIST REPUBLICANS, LIKE HIMSELF, SINCE THEN?

This isn't about politics. It's something I think about often from several different angles.

    I'm calling it now.

    -He'll admit to it.
-Publicly give the world a half ass, scripted apology that his PR agent has drafted.
-Society, will say something to the effect of "He apologized so get over it."
-His thought pattern will not change.
-Behind closed doors, he'll continue to say and think certain things.

You can't change people's opinions and values, I can only hope that we don't make excuses for them. i.e. Don Imus, Paula Dean, Michael Richards.

The only thing worse than these incredibly stupid comments is Obama's failure to condemn the racist beating of a white motorist by blacks in DTW a few weeks ago, while jumping into the fray so readily on this one. Hell, even Jesse Jackson spoke out against the DTW lynching. Surely it's warm enough in DC to hoist a beer or two in the Rose Garden already, provided Obama's even in town.

I just feel like this coach's comments are a sign of end times and we all should prepare to die in the very near future.

Like, this is it, guys. This coach and what he said is basically the end of the world.

    Isn't his girl mixed?

It's funny how some of the most racist people have multiple people of color as friends, family members and even lovers.

    The story keeps getting uglier.

Donald Sterling’s wife Shelly 'devastated by the racist comments' made by 'estranged husband,' slams him as 'despicable'

The wife of the embattled team owner released the statement Monday, a day after she dressed in all black and stat courtside - across from the Clippers' bench - during Sunday's Game 4 against the Warriors in Oakland. She is locked in a lawsuit with Sterling's mistress, V. Stiviano.
