Your comment sounds like a math equation. No idea what you're asking.

When I first became an RJ member, it was really a point of credibility and I think it still helps. Just do it and go the extra mile. With so many sock accounts, it just shows you value perceptions.

Your motivation seems to be about being noticed, so yes, verification can help with that. Your profile pic will occasionally appear on the front page in the "Online Now and Verified" section.

If Jacob has twelve apples and Pamela has twenty-nine apples, why don't they just shut the fuck up and eat?

If you are out it doesnt matter if people see you, if you are not out you arent worth dating.

I don't know why someone wouldn't either. There are some here that get very angry at the suggestion that guys here should verify. I guess you can argue whether or not there is much of a benefit to being verified, but you can't make a legitimate argument that there is any harm caused to you by verifying. Not even a closeted person can, because the Real Jock 123 photo and the comparison face photo can be put in your private photos. It doesn't even take that much time to do. In less than the time it took the OP to make this thread and then read the replies that followed, he could have already done it.

Feeling worthy of love is something that we struggle with when coming out, and often long after coming out, so while I think I know what you're saying, I don't think worth is a good word choice.

I was verified, then deleted the verification pic because it was kind of old (2011). One of these days I'll stop being lazy and post a new one...

IT's always good to do these things, I suppose...(I'm too lazy personally to verify so maybe I'm just a troll)

There's something that's really unfair going on and it's called taking things out of context. You don't even have to be a public figure or in a high power position.

Local news channels will post tweets, FB statuses, blogs etc. of people that end up in trouble.

I would never want something, I said to a troll, to be taken out of context and used against me.

By not verifying my profile, there's no proof this is really me.

I haven't auditioned for anything in awhile and that was my biggest concern. You have to tell them a complete work history if it's a commerical -- if you have worked for a competitors brand. You also have to sign privacy agreements that you won't mention the brand in social media etc. (this is only for an audition).

I booked a job and the commercial was airing. I didn't sign anything stating I couldn't talk about it. At the time I had a FB fan page and mentioned I loved the commercial and was a fan prior to even booking the job -- well a week later I found my part cut out of the commercial icon_eek.gif

Later I was featured in a dance benefit, related to the company, that I booked the commercial for. When I told them I'm so happy to be interviewed for (blank) and work with them again -- I was told not to mention that. Maybe they get criticized for favoritism or something -- idk I don't have any friends or family members that work for that company, nor am I sleeping with their CEO lol... Long story short, I'm human and I don't think it's fair that people take portions of a quote or one bad picture (that's been posted), to use it against someone.

Verification doesn't prove anything beyond the shadow of doubt - but it is a decent enough good-will gesture in the right direction.
