I'm moving to Montana next weekend... Is it gonna be as bad as it seems like it'll be?

Perhaps - Maybe not if Missoula is the destination.
    Big Sky?
    Why?

Western Montana is one of the most beautiful places on Earth!
I have bicycled there and camped many, many times and would be devastated if it was off limits for some reason.
If you loved Colorado, you will love Montana.

think of it as more of a supply and demand equation, if you are the only fresh meat, you will be popular and demand anything you want from the locals.

Please clarify this. What do you mean by gay relationship suicide?

Are you leaving a relationship in Colorado?
Moving for a relationship in Montana?
or imagining no Possibility of a relationship to be found in Montana?

I'll respond more after you clear up the ambiguity.

    Now for this ∨∨∨∨∨

I've been there five times. My last mate was from North central Wyoming. We went there every 2 yrs or so to visit his family and see the whole northern midwest.

Okay Snowlost Rex, here's what I know about Montana from guys who travel from there to Pensacola every Memorial Day. Some I've known since 1999.

There are gays there who have adapted to living there and love it. The ones I've met have all been very masculine great guys. Think in terms of ranchers/pilots, veterinarian, some artists, doctor and even a mayor.

I looked at your profile. Single new gay guys your age height and build will have a better type of dating pool in Montana than in big cities because many of them are like you. Mega man Atlanta Falcons' Kroy Bierman is from Montana. He's one of the ugly ones. LOL. In the Dakotas, Wyoming and Montana gays seem do most of their socializing out of clubs to save money so they can travel south for winter holiday weekends and splurge for vacations in summers. Think about getting a motorcycle once you get there since more than a few of them ride them.

There's one couple in their 50s now who have been coming down here for Memorial Day for over a decade. They always bring an Escalade full of guys, always a few single n00bies for our 4 day beach party for over 30,000. They also ride and tow a trailer of motorcycles that makes it easy to find them on the beach or at the bars. Some of them fly their own planes down after the first waves of road travelers arrive.

More than once I've said something to the older guys about some dynamic looking stud they've brought to the beach. They laugh and say, "yeah, he won't be single long, will he?"

I say you're young, fine looking and from your profile info seem to be well centered. You'd be crazy not to go and see what happens. If I were younger I definitely would.
