Is it common to keep chatting with hook up guy/fling weeks after our encounter? What does it mean?

    Hi all,

I just want to see what everyone else thinks it means if I am still chatting with this guy who I had a fling/hook up with a month ago (while I was on holidays overseas).

The messages are both flirty and non flirty. I usually initiates the conversation but its goes on and he is not replying with 1 word answers either.

Does it mean he likes me or just being polite?

    Thanks
    Adrian

I hate to be the on to say 'I've been there before' - but I've been there before.

Usually, it just means that you guys really enjoyed each others company for the time being and that you both wish you could've spent more time together. It isn't abnormal.

What is a little far-fetched is expecting either of you uprooting and sharing a life or extended relations together.

Do you have to/would you move there for work?

I actually know someone who met a guy who lived outside of the USA and decided to enter into a relationship with him. Although they've made it work for a few years, they are constantly in a state of "on and off again", arguing about what one or the other is doing and the only time that they don't seem miserable 'together' is when they're actually together - which is once every 2 or 3 months or sometimes longer and it's only for a few days. If you're wondering whether or not either of them has cheated on the other before, the answer is yes.

While some people are perfectly okay with only seeing their significant other once every few months, I still lean on my "far-fetched" statement. That's a question you have to ask yourself.
