For the first time ever, KFC India has introduced a separate vegetarian menu at all of its stores to try to woo the country's large number of meat-free eaters. With items like the Veg Twister, Veg Strips, Veg Rockin' Burger, and Veg Rice Bowl, the fast-food chain has even changed its tagline from "So good" to "So veg, so good." 42 percent of Indian households are vegetarian.

Proof once more that vegan does not necessarily mean healthy.

    Yuk!
    I had enough with KFC!
Anyways, they're going to cook both the meat and this veg burgers in same oil... So, I don't consider it as veg.

But KFC's menu started a couple of years back...
When i was in Bangalore, India , I have ordered Veg zinger burger, and veg strips...it tasted really really good...I used to eat this at least once a week...I used to prefer this over McD..

Jockbod48 saidI've got no appetite for KFC for a lot of reasons, one being what a friend told me. He said as an undergrad, he worked at a KFC. He said disgruntled employees during quieter times would play soccer with some of the chicken - kicking it around on the floor - back and forth to each other & under the stoves, before picking it up and cooking it, or reheating it, and serving it to customers. I'm not saying this happens at every KFC, but I'm just not interested in eating that much fat anyway, no matter if my piece of chicken was used as a soccer ball or not.

I was working in KFC too, about 3 years ago, for a year and I must disagree.I've never seen a cleaner restaurant. Our food had to be properly prepared, chicken as well as fries could only be out for an hour, then ( if not sold ) they ended up in the bin.The chicken we were cooking looked absolutely lush and the oil was changed regularly.
