    I probably could have worded that better!

    Anyways, what are your opinions on staying thick? i'm already a big and strong guy. I'm confident in my strength and physical abilities. Whether with weights, cardio, boxing, martial arts etc.

    But i have no aspiration to look aesthetically amazing. I have big arms, huge legs, big back, big glutes and feet (Unrelated to working out... but having size 17 feet sucks icon_lol.gif )

    I want to keep my arms and legs thick! and i do core workouts... but have no desire to get a huge six pack honestly. I know their very pleasing to the eye. And i have a small one... i just feel i don't necessarily need that as a total package.

    What do the guys here thick of staying thick and strong? do most of you feel the need for a six pack? or for eventually cutting? I've been on a bulk for quite some time now.

    Would to hear opinions on this!

    Hmmm you do have a little thickness. I think your more athletic/muscular type. But those are just a few pics! i could be wrong.
    Seeing as i was in football for many years. And my legs went from obese to muscle from then, to now over the years. My legs are HUGE... i used to be self conscious about it.

    Now i have come to embrace it icon_smile.gif just not the big feet yet.

    Maybe i am trying to stay beefy? i was just having this conversation with ACRO_SLIM. I never full understood the term beefy or stocky. Cause some people say beefy is muscular with some body fat, others say stocky is a short guy with muscle and high body fat. Other say stocky is broad shoulders with love handles and muscle?

    I'm pretty muscular, but tiny bits of love handles here and there. Mixed in with all the muscle on my legs, back, chest glutes etc.

    I should post pics to show what i mean. But I'm kind of shy on that sort of thing... icon_razz.gif

    I think you should focus with where you have achieved success. Most of us have areas that are certainly more developed than others and we have to fight genetics, etc in some cases to improve others.

    My suggestion is to test yourself with something like development of your 6 pack or some other muscle group and see what you can do... while keeping up on those areas where you have achieved success. Ignoring other areas is a non starter (as you won't look balanced), but forever focusing on an area that is far more difficult (and as you mentioned, probably less important).
    I take pride and satisfaction in that I look great and am healthy and feel good. In the end, positives should always rule.

    I think visible abs are overrated. For me as long as I have a solid ab wall to keep my stomach flat and hard I am good to go.

    I have always wanted to be a thicker guy. I have always wanted to be called sturdy. Weird, I know. I just really like the word. I would describe it to how you described stocky. Mountain of muscle would also work.

    ps. pics always help icon_wink.gif

    It depends upon your definition of "thick." Study hypertrophy. Go from there.

    It has been my observation that "thick" becomes out of control fat as ones ages.

    Lots of gay folks like to self proclaim: vgl, beefy, stinky, hairy, twink, cub, otter, bear, muscular, toned, etc. Many times, those proclamations are way, way, off.

    Lots of times, it really means this:
    vgl = I think I'm good looking, but, I have zero self esteem, and have to proclaim it, rather than let a picture speak for itself.

    beefy = fat and hairy; works out occasionally.

    stinky = see above
    hairy = see above

    twink = I have low self esteem and I'm scared to death to eat.

    cub = On my way to becoming a hairy fat ass.

    bear = hairy, out of shape, fat ass.

    muscular = lean, but, not really muscular.

    toned = don't eat but work out a bit; not fat.

    built = I actually have a bit of muscular development. I've seen a weight room a few times.

    swimmer build = all back, but, mostly, not fat.

    gymnast = a hottie that is almost a bodybuilder.

    discreet = closet case / head fucked

    Thread title needs a comma after the word thick.

    I'm laughing because in Australia if you're thick it means you're stupid/dumb. I love the cultural eccentricities of language/slang...
