Favorite Skinny Meal

    I am sure we all have one. When you know you have to eat something but you don't want to get bloated and uncomfortable. Usually eaten before a night out on the town drinking.

    Mine is Cajun tilapia, asparagus and black beans.

    I have two. One is a ham steak seasoned with cloves, allspice, and powdered ginger fried in olive oil. Plus sweet potatoes. The other is a pork loin covered in Harissa and cooked quickly at high temp (great crust) with a yogurt mint sauce with cumin, lemon, s&p. Add brussel sprouts on the side.

    lol.. some of you guys are real funny,... ie. celery, tic tac, lettuce and a side of air... those don't seem like they would really help the onset of an early drunk.


    a few things that I have to stay away from if I want to feel skinny are breads, pastas and red meats.

    Well it used to be this kid that lived downstairs and across the hall, but these days, I would go for a tuna sandwich.

    for me appetizer type of food. Especially if I'm on my way out to drinkā€¦Cheese, crackers, picked beets (my fav) a few veggies and some fruit. Usually tides me over until dinner. A late dinner.

    Celery is mainly just water though with a bit of fiber... YUK!

    I like avocado as a snack because it's so filling it might as well be a meal. Sometimes I have avocado and blueberries.

    Black beans do not effect me too badly. I do sometimes substitute for butter beans or black eye peas.
