Kissing your pet, is like kissing your man. You have to do it slowly and with love, if you even expect them to stay still.
Often your warm breath feels good on their head.
Then, just like a man,,,,,,, they run off!

I kiss my cat on the nose now and then. She usually scrunches up her face at me, while at the same time starts purring.

If I say her name and then start making a kiss sound depending on her mood my cat offers me her head and starts purring after a head kiss or sometimes she offers me her nose and I kiss her nose. Pets are like children that instead of leaving you in adulthood become your most loyal companions so there is nothing gross about kissing them.

my cat likes to rub her nose all over my face and claw at my chest and she sometimes tries to sleep on my throat when I'm in bed, so I don't think she's bothered by me kissing her.

When my partner moved in with his cat, his cat did NOT know what to make of my head kissing habit. She would dodge but overtime she has grown to expect her kiss on the head.

My orange cat DEMANDS kisses- ramming his face into mine (very classy) while he purrs loudly.

I kiss my dog on the forehead, and she loves it, but right now she's shedding, so her fur sticks to my beard.icon_confused.gificon_razz.gif

My dog does that. She has other catlike behaviors, too, which makes me wonder if at some point she was raised with a cat. She was a rescue animal when he got her, so her sordid past is a bit of a mystery.
