Why are gay men so easily distracted?

Have you ever noticed that most people on this website are extremely hot, I have seen 60 year old dudes who still look incredible. But the thing is people will send you a message, you reply and then nothing????

My point is that people are always looking for someone better and on this website it is defenitely possible. How can we as a gay community stop this searching and scanning and trade that habbit for actually looking for the correct people you would like to chat to, you know people with the same interests.

At best "the gay community" is a political construct but more its just a figure of speech. It might serve you better to speak of the RJ community. That's a bit more concise. There actually is one, kinda sorta.

I agree with what you're saying but you also have to be realistic. Who knows why someone didn't reply back to you? Were they distracted? Possibly. Or did something come up? Like, a while ago, I was in the middle of replying to someone and had to break away from it to talk with a friend IRL. And, yes, regrettably some people just flake or loose interest, too.

So don't loose heart. Just participate in the forums and have fun.

I don't think this has anything to do with the fact that we like wang, but the fact that we are silly humans.

Personally, I respond to all messages. Also, don't be -to use your term - 'distracted' by someone's hotness. They may be hot, but they might be depthless as well. Then again, I know some sexy and fucking intelligent people. Humans are diverse and all different, this is something that we should celebrate.

Unfortunately many guys are always looking for something better; I guess that they always will be.

It's the Internet, not gay men per se. When you don't know someone personally you have little incentive to follow up or pay much attention. There's simply not enough information to be attracted or genuinely interested as friends or otherwise.

This is why on dating sites a guy will sometimes just not reply even if there's nothing wrong with you. Sometimes it's because he's not attracted to the photo, but its often just the difficulty of genuinely caring or turning ones attention to an abstraction rather than a known person.

Once you know who someone is, however, there's a basis for actually paying attention to them.

I have got to agree. If I am online, that doesn't mean I am sitting in front of my mobile or laptop. Even if I am, I am not always in the mood of having a lengthy chat, lesser if someone is too far.
