That was awesome, and I'm obsessed with the modern spin on the groom's outfit - having been to a couple of Indian weddings one of my favorite things was how they glamorize the grooms even in traditional garb from their bejeweled turbans to their "Aladdin" shoes.

Pure Bollywood right down to the light colored contacts on the female singer; was she Aishwarya Rai?

The singer is Celina Jaitley, an Indian actress. She is also a long time supporter for LGBT rights in India.

Not sure what you are trying to say here? what does being gay have to do with the cast system or with the income of 52 million people living in Mumbai?

Am not a big fan of her as an actress but she surely has shown guts by openly taking about gay rights in India where even a slight mention of it can throw you out of the society.

No matter if you like the ad or not, the exposure to seeing gay couples is the only way to get people used to the idea. I think it's a positive step in the right direction.

Very nice. I watched a few times. I liked especially the interaction among the generations, how the young deferred to the approval of their elder but also how the elder allowed for the influences of the younger.

Before you all pound on me like hungry lions, i'll clarify that I was not supporting caste system.

Discrimination on the basis of caste is outdated and punishable.

In India discrimination on the basis of caste is similar to discrimination on the basis of color every where else.

Doing so is a punishable offence. But yet you have Racists and we have 'castist'.

*i know castist is not a word. Just trying to make a point.

I thought the point was to celebrate more exposure in a newly opened frontier. Breaking paradigms and creating new more inclusive modicums of understanding within society.

Uh, that is kinda the whole point. To promote more progressive thinking on homosexuality.
