Killing Time

God I am so incredibly FREAKING BORED.

Here I sit in a meeting listening to two guys who obviously didn't understand the technical specs they were given, and are supplemented by a programming team that wrote 10,000 lines of code where 1 would do. In short the software doesn't work right yet no matter what BS they are trying to throw at me.

How stupid do they think I am?

The coffee they are serving tastes like watered down sewage, and the pitiful excuse for a bagel must have come from Lenders.

Thank god we are going to take a break soon; Do you think maybe I can sneak out, go to the beach, and then text them that I won't be coming back...

    Sigh...

    How are you killing time?

I'm watching Regis and Kelly while posting smart-assed remarks on Real Jock. Once I finish my coffee I might vacuum.

Ok - I stand corrected: there is someone out there who is worse off than I am...

I am putting my cell on silent, ignoring four requests for information that is clearly explained on my web site, putting off a stack of reports for one more hour, and heading out on my bike for 20 miles. icon_cool.gif

I'm sorting thru medical records requested by a co worker four times now, which we received when the claim was originally received, and were needless to begin with.

We began a new system at work, where all of our mail is imaged and kept track of, and suddenly our bosses are freaking out because we have so much of it...

These are hilarious! Ooo, ooo, let me go. I'm sitting on my bed eating Doritos and crying.

    I kid.

    But seriously, I am.

OMG - Zuma is freaking gorgeous at the moment.

70+ degrees, fairly warm water, light winds from the SW, 2 foot rollers - and totally freaking deserted... I have the entire parking lot to myself...

The view is from the webcam on top of the Zuma HQ.

The parking lot? Have you driven to the beach only to sit in your car?

I started yanking hairs out of my nose and I've been stuck on the same one now for about 40 minutes. I just can't believe how long this thing is.

I had to look for an open tower, and I was eating a salad for my lunch before I went for a swim.

It's my last day in LA, buzz off.

I hate myself. I stopped at a bakery and bought a pound of double-chocolate cookies, 4 almond croissants, 6 honey madeleines and two incredible, gooey, chewy fig galettes.

I told myself I was buying the shit for the group I conduct tonight.

group is in two hours...I will force them to eat all of it. One member is bringing her children. I will set them on the road to obesity.

Ironing??? Who irons their clothes -- especially for a trip to the beach?

I have to rewrite a proposal for a sitemap that took me forever I gave to my professor who said it was "too complicated" . Come up with the a revenue model, then I have to think about the meaning of my existance and condense it into a 2 page essay for law schools and internships. But instead I'm gunna go get some indian food and play PS3 using my brand new projector which was bought with the money I was supposed to use for my law school apps.icon_confused.gif

For your sake I hope it is a VERY big group...

For me I REALLY need the exercise after dinner at 'CUT' last night; and I am supposed to be meeting friends at 'Abode' in Santa Monica tonight before we go to see Avenue Q. LA has been very tough on my willpower.

    ----------------------------------------------------

[10:00PM - EDITED TO ADD: My mistake, we did not go to see 'Avenue Q'; my friends got tickets to the Rockies - Dodgers game instead. It's 6-5 Col at the bottom of the 8th. 10:30PM - EDITED TO ADD: Final Score 9-6 Col ]
