ok so basically, ive been going to the gym on and off for the past two years. I havent been able to implement a full consistent program with school and work and stuff but i have seen some modest gains but am happy over all. im on holidays right now but when i go back to switzerland where i live ill be hitting the gym again. what i want to know is in your own opinion, how much mass i could gain in a 8 week time period, before i turn 21. im just wondering generally here and seeing what ye have to say on it. like, if i hit the gym hard for 8 weeks and upped my calories etc etc, just looking to know what ye think. basically im a slim enough guy looking to bulk up a bit, just thinking how far ill get in 8 weeks. this isnt a new years resolution thing, just thinking about what i can get done before i turn 21. thanks.

Don't quote me, but I believe the general rule of thumb is that you can turn about 1/2 kilo of blubber into muscle per week if you work very hard at it. Therefore, you may not "bulk up" as such, but you can transform soft bits into hards bits at about that rate. So 8 weeks = 4 kilo YMMV

Well bro, it is really hard to say as this differs so much from person to person. What I can tell you is that at 21 your hormones are at peak levels for very rapid development. With an excellent plan, great diet, dedication, and a minimal but solid supplement plan, you will get the best results during these years then you will at any other time in your life. So if you gain 1 pound a week, or 2 pounds a week, its worth every bit of effort to do it now. By the way, I think your best results will come though from having some longer term goals as well as the shorter term 8 week goals. Given that you seem like you don't have a ton of dedicated lifting experience, typically beginners get very rapid gains in the first couple months. With everything right I think 1 to 2 lbs a week would be possible for most people. As I said though this varies greatly from person to person.
