so, i started playing in this virtual universe; literally! at first I was enticed by the fact that i love the Sims... and this was kinda like the "adult" version. While playing, i got kinda hooked, just like i did on the sims sooo many years ago. You can build and design your home, choose your outfits, and completely customize your avatar. the biggest differences are you get to interact with real people, you can earn actual cash, and of course you can have lots of virtual sex! haha There seems to be something for everyone on there. what started as a way to kill time at my desk, has turned into a way to unwind through the day. unlike real life, i have comeplete control of my universe, i have friends i chat with and learn from (one of them is actually teaching me french!).

so is this weird?? because i find it kinda odd, but at the same time its like playing a game and chatting in a chat room at the same time. i havent let it take over my life, i dont see that ever happening, just when im bored and need some sort of entertainment. thoughts? have you played this before?

If you do play, send me your SN... if you dont but are interested in joining. click the banner and then send me your SN so i can find you.

silver_bullet saidI could see it getting addictive, an escape from the boredom or frustration of everyday life. Especially kids - didn't some Korean kid die recently after playing World of Warcraft or something for literally days on end non stop?

I dont know how you can ignore peeing and eating and sleeping. Those three things are equally satisfying icon_biggrin.gif

I think it's fine as long as you exercise self-control. Say, play it an hour a day then stop. It can never replace your real life and real interactions with your friends and family.

I used to like the sims but, then i decided to do what I want with my real life

I like co-op games like l4d or dungeon crawls a lot more now... Reflexive skill based games.. Games are supposed to make people more positive with their lives facing extreme challenges :@ some games so tough... house of the dead one hxcore mode :@ I'll beat it w.o dying one day...

Is nice to chat with people though, a friend from a game taught me french for a while :-) so if it makes you happy.. :-)
