My parents have gone to Eurovision almost every year. It's where they went on their honeymoon and 3 years later where they saw ABBA win something like 10 years before I was born. They still go, and have missed less than 5 in all those years. So it's always a big topic of conversation in our family, as most of my siblings and I "went" as babies, either newborn or about to be born.
This year Conchita was a lively topic of conversation. The best was my dad, who now has 2 gay sons (ok he always had 2 gay sons, but my brother only figured it out and accepted it this past Christmas), who said, "I've got a lot more to learn in this life but I know great singing when I hear it, so my eyes will just have to figure out what I'm seeing!" I love my dad.
