So, four episodes in? Five? What do you think? Good? I feel ambivalent towards it. I am intrigued with the Wells character. Who is he? Captain Cold seems like an interesting character, not a villain, just a baddie.

Hmmm... I like the episodes so far. Let's just say I will continue to watch it.

sorry, another smallville. I couldn't even complete the first episode. It's so predictable and has a very cliched storyline.

So the mid season finale. Don't read on if you are afraid of spoilers.

What is to say? Lets talk about the latest episode where THE REVERSE FLASH CAME ON TO THE SCREEN! A super-villain. Harrison Wells is an unknown quantity and questions keep popping up. Who is he? Is he future Barry Allen or a relative of Eddie Thawne or someone else entirely? I think Firestorm's introduction in this first section was alright. He seemed mysterious and the way he just blasted off The Reverse Flash was very timely.

At first in the episode Barry Allen was chasing The Reverse Flash. How did it get to this? The Reverse Flash turned up when he wants some kind of technology from Mercury Labs, the rival of Star Labs. Why did he need it for? To get faster Harrison Wells said. Light speed fast. What Joe didn't tell Barry was that The Reverse Flash some time earlier threatened Joe with killing his daughter when he re-opened the case where Barry's mother was murdered... The Flash sees the Reverse Flash, the man in the yellow suit, and starts chasing after him. The Reverse Flash is faster and taunts him.

Harrison Wells comes up with the idea of a force field and attempts to trap the Reverse Flash. In the end The Reverse Flash escapes with the tachyon technology and we see Harrison Wells with the yellow suit and then placing the technology onto it. Hmmm... is he evil?

The Cross Over episodes was amazing. Very funny and I liked them.

    Awww, that's so cute.

Nope, it's called a flash cube. They were popular in the 60's and 70's. The flash cubes were disposable. There were four sides and each time a flash was used, the cube would rotate to reveal a new bulb. So you only got four flashes out of each cube. The bulb turned milky once it was used, like the one on the right side of the cube below....

And the "Ah ahhh" is from the soundtrack from Queen. Now do you get it? icon_smile.gif

    SPOILER ALERT!

The last episode was EPIC! Super. Just to say: Cisco is my favorite character, and who wouldn't agree with me? The last episode explains a bit better on The Reverse Flash and him coming back in time. That scene with The Flash and the RF fighting each other in the beginning was just amazing. Now we know Harrison Wells was murdered and Eobard Thawne went back in time and he has been stuck for the past 15 years. He needs Barry Allen to super-speed as early as possible so ET can get home. I can understand the frustration of Barry Allen. I don't get why people are so annoyed with him being annoyed with Harrison Wells (or ET). Iris West has been on his case to investigate Harrison Wells and Joe West was suspicious of HW from the beginning and it was BA himself that was reluctant to believe it. It was that moment when HW guided BA how to phase through matter by resonating the frequency of air particles to achieve phasing that BA knew HW was the man in yellow.

And why the heck would they reveal the true identity to Eddie? I can understand him revealing his identity to his dad...

Everyone was looking forward to see Mark Hamill as the trickster and that line about being the New Trickster dad... I was waiting for that to happen lol

And Cisco has been great. That timeline where Cisco finds out about Harrison Wells being the RF, well, that was great acting.

One week hiatus but after that 5 weeks all the way through, I think.

    Edit: 6 episodes, not 5

So annoying. Where is Iris getting this anger from?

    SPOILER ALERT

Iris detects Eddie is hiding something from her. HOW THE HELL DID THIS COME FROM? I bet the writers only want friction between Eddie and Barry Allen. He seems withdrawn and blah blah blah. At the end of the episode Iris tells Eddie an ultimatum. Either tell her the truth that the Flash is Barry Allen or the relationship is over. By the way, the promos show Eddie KILLS people! OMG omg...

This episode is getting closer to the identity about Harrison Wells, where the trio is concerned - Caitlin, Cisco and Barry. Barry tells them of the suspicions about Harrison Wells and Cisco has been having these dreams of Harrison killing him... how did that happen? Is that because he is the VIBE?

Cisco saves Ray from a robotic bee and the villain of the week is just plain awful but the episode was good.

Lets go back a bit. The most awful thing was the Superman jibe. Is it bird? Is it a plane? No, it is my boyfriend. The delivery wasn't that great really, well that is my opinion. Did they HAVE to do that? Yeah, that is when Felicity welcomes his bf to Star Labs.

Felicity and Ray pay Central City a visit because Ray needs a second look at his suit. At the end of the episode, he wants to get smaller! And hopefully he will be THE ATOM. Very funny these two, Ray and Felicity. The sexual innuendos. A bit too much with Cisco and Ray with name-assigning to the villains but it seemed to work.

So yeah, cannot wait for next week.

    Spoiler alert.

Caitlin is not so happy about Barry Allen investigating into Harrison Wells and it looks like she could become Killer Frost despite the fact she discovers Harrison Well's secret lair at the end of the episode, along with Cisco. So cool. I can get why she is so upset with these allegations since the particle accelerator accident but from what we have seen, doesn't she have some doubts?

Joe West and Cisco goes to Starling City to dig up the real Harrison Wells and the scene with Laurel Lance was amazing. I smiled at that scene. Any scene with Cisco in it, I am happy. Joe and Quentin talk about their respective conflicts, lying to Iris and Laurel lying about Sara. There is a canary cry in Arrow next week!!

Eddie seems to be good now. Before he was all anti-Flash but now since he has come round to the idea that the Flash is helping people he is all good. Then he reveals to Iris he is working with Flash and I wonder if there will be plenty of tense conversations going on after this... How will Eobard Thawne get his anger towards the Flash for example?

So once Joe and Barry figure out that Harrison is not the real Harrison, momentum is carried forward and we look forward to seeing a showdown. Gorilla Grodd, anyone?

I enjoy it very much ...except , I really hate the "Let's not tell someone my secret " ie keep Iris in the dark plot device - I hate it it is such a flow blocking cliche ...they do it in alllll these kind of shows and it is so annoying - it serves no purpose , it does not add suspense , merely annoyance well thats just me... I still watch it though

it's putting tension on Eddie because it means Barry is coming between him and Iris (with Eddie struggling to keep Barry's secret from her), so I'm wondering if Eddie is going to end up becoming a villain or something.

But it's not as annoying as what they keep doing with Thea in Arrow. All she gets to say is "you lied to me. You kept secrets from me. You lied to me. My family sucks." Even after Maclolm trained her into a warrior princess, I thought she was going to evolve beyond being a whiny teenager, but she still just says "you lied to me. You kept secrets from me. You lied to me. My family sucks."icon_rolleyes.gif

I loved the scenes between Lance and West talking about their daughters, and Cisco meeting Laurel. Cisco's geek-out moments whenever he meets a hero or villain are one of my favorite things about the show! icon_razz.gif

I thought you beat me to it.

    SPOILER ALERT

At first I was mistaken. I thought Hannibal the shapeshifter vibrated his hand and forced Cisco to enter that protected platform. So I felt a bit curious and watched it again. Yeah, it is fine. The shapeshifter couldnt duplicate the Reverse Flash's powers. All he did was raise his arm. How did Hannibal remember all that? Remember that episode when Wells used another metahuman who could turn to metal.

The episode was good. I liked it. I liked it when Cisco went in his dream state using Caitlin's Dream glasses. There was no villain of the week because we were all focusing on catching Wells so he can confess Nora's murder and then Barry's father can go free.

Well we all know Wells is much clever than that. Oh, before I reveal something that may seem obvious, that first scene was TENSE! The one with Gideon. Barry Allen created that. Cisco put a bug on Wells' wheelchair and now knowing that Wells has surveillance everywhere, when I watched it a second time, it wasnt as tense...

Oh another thing, Captain Singh's bf... you can tell he is gay. That's me anyway lol.

Back to the Time Vault. Justice League? A founding member? Asking Gideon all these questions when Wells was about to discover his secret time vault was all very tense.

And now Iris knows. What about Harrison kidnapping Eddie? I wonder what will happen next.

You are spot on with both shows! And yes, I'm a complete nerd when it comes to comic book tv shows and movies.

I was having a similar discussion on the IMDB boards ...and suddenly it hit me why this does not work.... it USED to work when these comic books first came out and female characters were there purely to play the damsel in distress - they were not the intelligent fiesty more than one dimensional women of today ...they think and ask questions ....it is completely unbelieveble that a character such as Iris the way they have written her in this present show could not have figured something out .... and now Barry just flat out lied to her .....not just not tell her he said " I have no powers" thats a flat out lie ...it is wrong and only holds up the story and action

now that iris knows, it still feels a bit forced. if iris had gotten superpowers would she tell? actually she probably would...

but grodd! awesome. psychic gorilla and that sonic blast didnt work. super gorilla lol.
