Purely as a person how well would a gay English man find it and be welcomed in to other countries and cities around the world? I dont mean me as an individual, im meaning how are and if English people are welcome to other countries as a general rule?

Of course it depends where, if you go to Uganda you're not gonna have much fun as a gay man.

In my travels the people I have met all loved me. I think it is because I do my best to speak their language and also because I am a paying customer so I am giving them money. OK to be honest the giving them money part was probably the major factor icon_biggrin.gif

I feel like English people are more well-received around the world than Americans.
Britons as a whole are more well- received IMO because of all their former colonies and their current commonwealths, etc. Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc. In additon to former colonies such as Jamaica, America the list is fucking endless forget it./

Honestly, I don't think the majority of people from other countries would care where you're from. What they do care about is how well you assimilate yourself to their culture. For example, I would never move to Italy unless I speak the language and show the citizens that I want to learn their way of life.

My former bf was from Reading, England(heavy drinker and held a grudge because I cheated on him only once!)

But my point is that he had a lovely accent and here in Atlanta and most of the Southern US, we go wild for British accents. He got loads of attention whenever he opened his mouth.

You'll do fine anywhere in the South.

I don't think English/Brits will have any problem traveling to English-speaking countries like the US, Canada or Australia for example. There are great Brits gay guys as well as mean ones. I've only met 1 cool English guy back in San Francisco in 2007. He was visiting from London, we hooked up. It was hot, He was uncut if I remembered correctly. Anyway, I don't have any negative opinions on Brits since I like most of them and I visited London twice. (There are tons of English actors living in LA. It even has a British Museum/council something in L.A. celebrating British Actors/Actresses in Hollywood). And oh yeah, my ex bf was 1/3 English.

They might have never heard a Wigan accent before. You would get a lot of questions about it!
