I just really like locker rooms a lot!

Think it's great to be around other men changing, showering, drying off, chilling in towels, jocks or even just naked.

Almost always get a comfortable boner when I weigh-in with or around other men.

Wish there were more guys like me to workout and chill with after round the showers/lockers

That's why bath houses have been so popular throughout the centuries.

Guys are naturally curious (and horny). Even the straight ones can't help but look in the locker room and check out who's fit, built, hairy, hung. Nothing hotter than guys being GUYS together. And who hasn't thought about what their best buddies look like rock hard?

I don't get this gay attraction with saunas and steam rooms.

Even if there WAS as much sex going on in them as is suggested who'd want to have it in 100 degrees, especially during flu season in a steamroom? YUCK

Maybe on the fitness floor equipment after closing. Hmmmmm....

I am not comfortable in locker rooms. Except for the exception of one guy I knew who took his shirt off in front of me, generally the guys who like to undress.

Having been a jock in high school for football and track, I have been used to being in a locker room for a long time.

The only thing I hate about gym locker rooms is when It is crowded and there's no room to change out or into your clothes. And there was this was old Vietnamese guy one time who was sprinkling himself with talcum powder and it got on my work dress clothes. He was so unaware of what he did. I had to yell at him to stop and apparently, he didn't understand English.

    Pissed me off royally.

PS: The only time i go into saunas is when I have tight or pulled muscles and lay of wet-steam tiles which help my body to relax. Once I did that and this elderly man (about 7icon_cool.gif rubs his hand across my chest and abs while I had my eyes closed.

The locker room is sometimes my main motivator for getting up and going for a swim. My reward is the locker room afterward. Love it when guys leave the shower stall doors open (which I certainly do) so we can check it other out. Love when they take their time drying off at the lockers, baring all. Nothing's gonna happen in there, but it's great to just be naked with other men. If the other men are hot, even better.

I only like locker rooms if I got something out of it, lol, otherwise, I just need to get in and out fast because I have things to do!

As a committed exhibitionist I actively seek time in the locker room. I love being seen in my gym compression gear before and after (i.e. sweaty). After a shower I happily parade around in my underwear for anyone eager or willing enough to look.

I say all this in contrast to how terrifying I found locker rooms to be as a teenager. Stripping down and changing into sport gear and vice versa then used to nearly paralyze me. Now, I embrace it and make the most of it. Take that, teeanager me!!!

I'm a big afficionado of sauna. And especially during winter cold season, when I lived in the snow belt.

First, a sauna is a lot hotter than 100 F. The interior of my car gets hotter when parked in the summer. A sauna is often around 180-190. A steam room is less hot, maybe 120-140. But in public gyms some guys crank the heat way up, if they can, and dump too much water on the sauna rocks. They're doing it during their lunch break, can only afford maybe 10 minutes, so they figure having it scalding hot will compensate.

No, it doesn't. The benefits of sauna come from a more extended heat soak. Often with cold shower (or plunge) breaks, then coming back inside for another session.

I do it after my workout. Helps me avoid sore muscles. And just relaxes me.

When it's winter cold season, breathing hot air, above about 105 F, helps to kill the rhino virus (nose virus). Responsible for many head colds. I never got a winter head cold when I used the sauna regularly.

I don't know if it helps with flu virus. I've been getting the annual flu vaccine for 40 years, and I haven't gotten it during that time. But before the vaccine shot the flu could really knock me for a loop.

Of the two, I prefer sauna over steam room. I find sauna more quiet & contemplative. I'm not into Zen crap, but I do like my quiet time. Almost feel my body healing. That kinda time-out is good for me. I think both psychologically and physically.

And there is no gay agenda. My eyeglasses are off, I can barely see you anyway. If it's a public men's sauna and you join me I want silence and non-engagement. A gay bathhouse is different, a sexual agenda dominates. But not what I do in any other sauna.

Yah know, we are big boys, grown-ups. If you can't differentiate these distinctions and appropriately control yourself maybe you need to revert to square one and start over.

Speaking in general and rhetorical terms, not about you, eagermuscle. I already know you're a gentleman. You might consider installing a small sauna in your home. Just big enough for you and a friend. Or use it solo. It really can be wonderful for body & mind.

At my Mexican gym, all but a very small number of men change under their towels and are averse to displaying their junk. A bit disappointing really. Although these days, most Mexican men including professionals are extensively tattooed, and many are pierced also, so there is plenty of eye candy in that sense.

There have been good and bad times for me in the lockerrooms.

In high school, I was the second biggest guy in PE class. Guys always wanted to pick fights with me. The biggest guy in the class tried to steal one of my shoes out of my locker. I threw the guy against the wall behind the locker and my rage took over. He was so surprised that I could handle myself. But he still gets my sneaker and runs into the showers. He is cornered by me and I can fight. Left him on the tiled floor and got back my shoe.

As for the good stuff, I started at 17 doing photo shoots. I did one in a shower with two other guys. It was just underwear and quads and calves.

I've been in locker rooms most of my life and enjoy the comradie of other guys.
