    Hey guys
Just wanted to give a shout out to all of our military guys. I've recently become enamored with our military and how you protect us. I'm also so very thankful for the sacrifice you make by
    1. putting your lives on the line
    2. leaving your country and family for long periods of time.

So thanks guys. I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU!

You're welcome! Of course though, all I really did was drank copious amounts of alcohol and "accidentally" flipped off officers while pretending to salute them. icon_lol.gif

U know even if I don't agree with all that the military has done or is doing, I recognize that the individual soldiers who put their lives on the line are sacrificing when they don't have to. It's that individual sacrifice for my freedom and safety that I'm thankful for. They fight so I have the opportunity to disagree and voice my discontent if I disagree.

    Again thank you

I wish those location based apps weren't so much of a temptation for me. I just can't see to exercise moderation in my conversation on them. So I just can't use them anymore. I really am looking for meaningful and help friendships.

I'm actually embarrassed by accolades for my service. I enjoyed it too much! icon_redface.gif

I voluntarily chose it, loved it, devastated when it ended early due to my failing health after 25 years. Yeah, it was tough at times, and dangerous, worked my tail off, and I certainly wasn't paid much ($97 a month when I first joined!). But I was having entirely too much fun to claim a lot of credit for it.

Depends on what you mean by freedom. I know that there have been many shady things done by the military. The oppression of the weak by the strong is never something I would stand behind. But I'm not making commentary on the military leadership or actions as a whole. Rather I'm thanking the individual men and women who volunteer and sacrifice so much for all of us. That is what I'm thankful for. They are living for something bigger than themselves.

There is an idea of America that they try to protect. Regardless of the poor decisions of the leaders in power and how they wield the strength, the soldiers, the individuals, they are the ones who believe. And they are willing to die for it. Again, thanks to all of you.

How is sacrificing for shady causes something to be proud of? Im sorry but I pity soldiers who volunteer to go to war believing they're doing it for a worthy greater good when in reality they're murdering nations under command to make their bosses gain some kind of greedy profit. Nope, not something to be proud of at all.

In case you're including me on that, you have to know I have 0 reasons to be butthurt. My nation never got involved in any war or has been affected in any way by USA or any other country. I have clear opinions on whats going on in the world though. So more than butthurt I'd say I dont have to suffer the brainwash many of you do. And my views are probably more objective than yours on this.
