NYT: While falling to 0-2 with a loss to the Dodgers after a fine debut against the Yankees last week, Jacob deGrom has stood out for both his pitching ability and his flowing hair.

The kids got a gorgeous mop of hair and hopefully a promising career. He should give up manual labor though until his career is over. A pitcher can't afford a hand injury.

As a kid in the 60's and 70's everyone had long hair in sharp contrast to the flat tops and crew cuts of the 50's. Now we are back to buzzed heads. Everyone looks alike icon_sad.gif

Obviously I have rapidly advancing male pattern baldness and except for a couple occasions have been buzzed or shaved for several years. I don't miss having hair except for the protection it gives from bumps and dings, insulation that keeps you warm in the winter and protects you from sun burn. I have a large collection of hats.

Glad beards are back though. Big, trimmed, scruffy I don't care. I'm tired of the hyper groomed look.
