Liberal Fascism in Science - Climate and Authoritarianism

Bill Moyers is the greater fascist here, in my opinion.

Scientist David Suzuki on "climate change denialism":

"Our politicians should be thrown in the slammer for willful blindness!" [Suzuki] asserted. "If we are in a position of being able to act, and we see something going on and we refuse to acknowledge the threat or act on it, we can be taken to court for willful blindness."

    "It's an intergenerational crime."

Moyers, a well-known climate alarmist, didn't push back a bit -- instead gently tabling the idea as impractical:

MOYERS: "The problem is, if that should happen -- if politicians were to be convicted to willful blindness to the fate of the Earth and future generations -- there would have to be mass arrests, and lots more funding for new prisons," he noted. "We're not talking about a mere handful of culprits. It's hard to know where to start."

Holy sh*t, dude. The problem is that jailing people for doctrinal heresy is that it would cost too much?

Keep talking, white Liberals. You always show your true colors.

It's not a question about climate change, everyone knows it exists.

It's a question of how the government and big business is going to screw you with higher taxes and increased costs of living.

I'm not sure I can follow your attempt to twist this interview into a partisan attack on liberals. Conservatives are the ones pushing for the use of highly polluting Canadian tar sands.

    Thread fail.

If you disagree with the Left's solutions to "climate change," you could be jailed for "willful blindness" as well.

Their fascism is not even hidden any more.

Pushing for this or that fuel source has nothing to do with this.

Look at Moyers's response. If it doesn't chill your blood, then there is something wrong with you.

Are you talking about how he said that it would be impractical to arrest all of the politicians? It's the people who elected them. Do you think everyone who votes republican should be arrested? I really don't get how you can attack liberals on an issue that conservatives deny exists, while being the most corrupt in their support of dirty energy.icon_confused.gif

Yeah, it's like evolution, or the round planet theory. These scientists and their mysticism must be stopped. We should replace them with some kind of religious dogma. We'll clean up the planet by throwing a virgin into a volcano, or something.icon_rolleyes.gif

It's easier to prove climate change exists than it is to prove virgins exist.

Yeah, I've noticed conservatives like to say that liberals are intolerant and authoritarian for refusing to entertain their bogus propaganda. It's pretty pathetic that some of them are ivy league educated, wall street journal types, and yet they dismiss science. I have zero respect for them.

You can complain all you want to about climate change, what do you suggest we actually do about it, starting today?

The article is more focused on how Rubio is lying through his teeth in order to get elected, by smearing scientists.

There isn't currently much we can do about climate change, because we've crossed the point of no return, and we, the people, have caused the inevitable melting of ice in the Antarctic. All we can do now is finally acknowledge the reality of the situation, prepare for the worst, mitigate the consequences, if we can, and, mainly, brace ourselves for the coming storms and the death of nearly all sea life.

I'd like to say that there is a silver lining, but it hasn't been found yet. Right now, we're in a tailspin, plummeting towards a fatal end.

In the meantime, we have to get the global warming deniers out of office. They are lying scum and have failed as leaders. Period.

As long as it doesn't involve heavy regulation or taxes, which would kill business and jobs, go ahead with climate solutions.

Republicans have to keep saying this bullshit in order to keep being funded by the Koch Brothers and other Oil, Gas and Coal producers.
It just amazes me how someone can be a gay Republican when most Republicans want to do away with all gay rights that have been hard won over the last few years. I think most must hate who they are so bad that they keep supporting the right wing ideology in an effort to make themselves less gay and feel a little better.

They have none other than that. Planning, control, direction of the economy is their aim, it's how they will realize their utopia.

What could possibly go wrong with that?

You have to rethink the whole "gay Republican" thing. Because I think the Liberal Left is batshit crazy does not therefore make me a "Republican."

Note that the white Liberal media (NY times, MSNBC, HuffPo, et al.) report with glee that the GOP is divided and splintering these days. While the Dems have their share of infighting, the GOP has lost party discipline and is indeed suffering visible fissures.

Why is that? It's because establishment GOP (who are no better than Dems) suffer from "me too" syndrome - they can talk about limited government, free enterprise, and individualism, but it's all lip service. In their actions they side with big government Liberals, yet put on a big show of reluctance.

Many of us have had enough of that. Poxes all around.

It is time to show both the democrats and the republicans the door come election day. Lets end this dictatorship like political duopoly or the US will continue to decline.
