Imaginary question........Would you take advantage of plastic surgery................anything.... to fix anything about your physical self if:

    - it was free and done by a expert in the field?
    and
    - there was very little chance of medical/health complications
    and
    - very little down time or pain?
    and
    - you were guaranteed the result you wanted?

Imagine if you could save a year of working out on your abs if you had a precedure in one afternoon to achieve the same result?

Do you reject any plastic surgery for moral/ethical reasons? Is it cheating?

If there was a good procedure available, I would like to have work done on my feet and toes. I got ugly toes and weird feet......LOL...But seriously....

yah...i might have a little facial work, but nothing too involved. maybe my nose trimmed a tad and a little tightening on the face...but not sure...I wouldn't have much done if I did. I've thought about it though.

I don't think there are any real moral issues with plastic surgery, as long as it isn't really hurting anyone. If you have the opportunity, I say go for it.

I don't think there is anything about myself that I'd change. I think I'm too cute to change icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

    Imaginary question, HELL!
I have been fighting with my insurance company for the last 2 years to get plastic surgery! I NEED a procedure called "body contouring" to remove excess skin since my massive weight loss( 200+ lbs) after gastric bypass. Loose skin is more than ugly, it can be painful....that's where I am. I would get a tummy tuck, a chest lift, a butt lift and a face lift at the very least... I've been quoted prices in the area of $75-$100K.....I would definitely take advantage of such a service, if available.....but I am saving my pennies now.icon_cool.gif

I'm 41 and don't think I need it now. I know a lot of 50 year olds who don't need it either. Who determines other than yourself that older gents need plastic surgery?

We all want to look fit, who doesn't? But for me, that comes in second place to health! The process of getting fit, makes you healthier. Sure, some procedures make you healthier after sometime, but I enjoy working out and I feel healthy.

Plus, there is nothing like a big endorphin rush after a 5 mile run in the morning or a long workout! It's like my drug!

As for as getting older? And looking like Brad Pitt on the Cover of Rollingstone... nah. I'd rather keep my real looks than surgery. I can tell when people have surgery and I don't like it. I take care of my skin and it's pretty healthy. So I'm sure my skin will age well. My parent's still looks really young for their age and I think I got their genes in that dept!

Why not .. we live in a modern world which we can finally fix things that god screwd up with ... starting with teeth braces all the way to gender transformation..

It doesn't hurt anyone and can be good for your self image ... I still don't understand people who critisize it .. everyone is free with his own life ..

I have a friend who is a cosmetic dermatologist. up until she moved to west palm last year (damnit!) she was doing laser treatments on the sun damage on my face, throat & chest. for free! and i love the results. no more painful than rubber bands being flicked at your face.

One of my friends is spending winter break having his nose and chin reshaped and throwing a sort of new face coming out celebration party next week. (Serious)

What dose one bring as a gift to rhinoplasty celebration party....

I'm actually kind of worried that, it's going to look bad and I'm going to have to lie to him.....icon_confused.gif

    I'd do it
why not, I've even contimplated it, but not sure I'm ever going to go through with it. I think plenty of males 28-"whatever age" already have though they might not admit it. They say male chest enhancement is a huge market!

I'd dump the bags under my eyes anyday icon_wink.gif

I am all about cosmetic surgery. I had some in high school. It was part cosmetic and part medical. None the less, it was a painful experience but totally worth it.

I dont see it being a moral issue especially cause you are doing it to yourself and no one else. I am not a big fan of people who judge others for their actions.

I'm not morally opposed to it... but it's just not for me.

It took way to long for me to love the guy in the mirror exactly as he is.... lost way too much time trying to look the way other people felt.
