    Have you guys seen it?
    I never watched it before
It's a great show ... very much like SFU

The plot is campy but thinly veiled allegory on homosexuality

Plus the MEN are Freakin' HOT icon_biggrin.gif

I've watched the entire first season, and I loved it. It's already been approved for a second season, so more to come.

It's engaging, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. I recommend it icon_smile.gif

I am so glad that you started this topic GQ!!! I just started to watch the show when it was On Demand. I watched the first 8 episodes that way but I guess it was only on On Demand for a limited time. They had a marathon on one of the HBO channels on New Years Eve night, so I used my dvr and recorded the final 4 episodes. It is very campy, but I really enjoy it. Ryan Kwanten as Jason Stackhouse is very hot, but I like Sam Trammell as the owner of the bar. Tera really cracks me up and I loved the Lafeyette character.

I love True Blood. I can't wait for it to come back on. If only I could get Jason Stackhouse and my Supernatural boys on one show...preferably nude and having lots of sex icon_twisted.gif

    LOVE THE SHOW!

I just watched Six Feet Under and it is now my favorite show!
I HAD to see what else he could do.

True Blood was kinda weird at first, but it grows on you by the second episode...
Terra is amazing and Sam the bartender is SO hot!

    Alan Ball is the Shit!!!

Yeah I'm a fan too. I enjoy the books and don't mind that the series isn't developing exactly the same. One thing is the same though...Bill or Eric...Eric or Bill...hmm... icon_wink.gif

Have any of you guys read the books that the show is based off?

It's apretty decent show but has way too many similarites to another book, now motion picture, called Twilight. A few things are tweeked but the comparison is definately there.

Still a good show and if nothing you gotaa love the eye candy.

    Love Sooki's brother.

After watching the first season, I wanted to read the novels. A friend lent me one, thinking it was the first novel in the series. Sadly, she gave me the 4th, Dead To The World. I started reading it, but realized it wasn't the first, so stopped. I want to start with Dead Until Dark.

man, this is the best show on television. It has the 3rd biggest ratings in HBO history (after The Sopranos and Sex and the City). But with Alan Ball at the helm, it's bound to be amazing.

It's based on the Sookie Stackouse series (or the Southern Vampire) by Charlaine Harris. I've heard they're fantastic but have yet to read them. icon_smile.gif

Ditto! HBO is soo far ahead and out there with their programing. I've been impressed with most of their series - their documentaries are great too.

Watched it all. It is a nice show, just can't wait for it to come back this year. Tara scared the hell out of me, but Ryan Kwanten was the eye candy i used to watch this show for, and they showed plenty of his flesh. icon_biggrin.gif
