...and so many people leaving and as much as I know some of you love having me here...

    I'm staying.

Yes, that's right. I just thought that it would be imporant to announce to the whole RJ world that with so many folks leaving, some whom I will miss, some who I won't miss, and some who I won't even notice are gone because I already have them on Ignore/Block, that I'm not going anywhere. (Well, except to wherever some airplane takes me next.)

For any of my detractors who are here, please let me know what you think. Get really mad. Get angry! Allow your bitterness to boil! Then, type out a long TL;DR post about how much you hate me! Because if you're already on my Ignore/Block list, I won't see it. jaja!

    To everybody else, it's

Don't take anything or anyone too seriously. Enjoy the hijinx and highlarity!

    Muahahahaha!

    Aloha and Be Well!

I'm staying too and just now have gotten used to the Block/Ignore feature since I didn't use it in the past.

Haha you added an awkward moment of silence in your original post icon_lol.gif +1,000,000 for your post! Everything has ups and downs, so we have a few more trolls than usual -- they'll move on.

I already watched this before you even posted it! Her version is so much better than J Hudson's. The soul in her voice is amazing -- it's a shame she wasn't given other "hit songs" to sing. I heard at times when she performed this song live the audience would give her a standing ovation for the overwhelming emotion she portrayed on stage.

Of course you won't see it 'cause you're too much of a little bitch to recognize anyone else's opinion but yours.

    It's called a "Superiority Complex."
    And yes, you have it.

    Glad you're staying, GAMRican.

It's disappointing that some took delight in bashing this place when it was here where they stayed for so long (and racked up thousands of posts) and met most, if not all all, the people who left.

Although I've been disappointed by the slow-to-react administration at various times and at other members who coddled the trolls, it's not enough to give up. I met a lot of great guys offline for the DC-area meet-ups and enjoyed some great conversations.

    This too shall pass.

owl_bundy saidonly thing i'm seeing is how self important some people think they are or WHY they're really here. if they weren't feeling themselves THAT much, they would realize that they're a grain of sand on the beach. the show doesn't stop whether they leave or not. i'm registered on a bunch of other web forums and been posting at other places WAY before i discovered this one so i know how it goes and the types of people that usually pull this shit.

    Always delightful haha!

I contacted one of the recently departed and scolded him for throwing in the towel, and leaving fewer of us to deal with the trolls, troublemakers, socks and malcontents.

I'm glad GAMRican isn't abandoning ship yet, but if the Captain continues to steer us onto the rocks there may soon be no choice but to yell "Every man for himself!" and jump overboard.

i am having an issue why you or I have to "deal" with the trolls, multiple accounrs, etc.

I looked on realjock very late last Sunday night and there was a full blown argument blazing away. so how has things changed?

Agreed; that's Admin's thing to do. Long ago when Chris and Jeff ran the place there was a lot more moderation.

What do people do in the real world? Drop out when people annoy them? The world is full of little annoyances, everything is not perfect. If all gay people shut themselves in their homes and never came out because people in the world are assholes, we would all still be in closets scared that anyone would find us out and living in day-to-day paranoia Hell on the verge of suicide. You don't change the world by retreating from it. If people want to leave because they are bored with the site that is one thing, but don't blame it on because you don't like what is going on in the forums, if you don't like what you read in the forums, then stop reading them, it is just that simple.

I agree as well. I meant "deal with" more as "put up with", not to solve as pseudo-Admin. Yet there are times when one has to counter their slanders, especially when directed against yourself as personal attacks, when Admin is not preventing it themselves.

And don't say many of you guys never respond at times when somebody unfairly slams you. And that it doesn't help when the "good guys" outnumber the "bad guys" to challenge those lies, and tamp them down. Therefore I regret when we lose good-guy voices from RJ.

The solution of putting them on Ignore is only partially effective, what I see as a head-in-the-sand approach. For one thing you still see their crap when others you don't have on Ignore quote them. For another it does nothing to protect you from their personal slanders that everyone else is reading about you. Far better if Admin would enforce the existed TOS/TOU against such behavior.

And it wouldn't take much effort, there aren't that many of them, they're mostly serial offenders. A warning note, a suspension for recurring offense, most of them will shape up. And the word will get around to cut out this crap.
