Weight gain in University

    So, basically, I'm away from home at university, and I'm underweight. Severely. I want to change that.

    Now, aside from the obvious "grab 2 litres of ice cream and chow down!" option, what would be an ideal way to put on weight healthily?

    I'd like to point out that funds are extremely limited right now, so I'm afraid a gym membership is out of the question. That's not stopping me from body weight exercise or running though.

    If anyone can give any examples of what to do right (or wrong), I'd be so grateful!

    If you're eating regularly and are medically under weight to the point it's worrying you maybe first check you don't have something like hyperthyroidism by visiting your GP. If in fact you just aren't eating enough then eat a bit more.

    Dairy products and potatoes, I guess. But you should really be looking to put on muscle not fat. Skinny-fat is a pretty terrible look ...

    Makes sense. I'm sorry, this was a stupid thread to put up, I didn't realise there was resources on the site for stuff like this.

    I was more or less wondering if anyone had some cheap, easy meals for healthy weight gain. Getting my ass out of bed to do exercise is another matter entirely.
