It's good to know that she lived a good, long life.

Not only was she Alice, but she was also Schultzy on the Bob Cummings Show in mid-1950's. RIP.

    R.I.P. Ann B. Davis

I enjoyed the Brady Bunch growing up, as well as, her cameo in the Brady Bunch movie.

I don't see proof...just mention that she is in a comment here:

"I'm surprised that no one has mentioned it, but it is generally known in a quiet manner that Ann B. Davis was gay/lesbian herself. She never married and it was just kind of there that she was not known to be a heterosexual. She was raised back in the day when you had to be very cautious about your sexual orientation in Hollywood and society in general.
Rest In Peace Ann B. Davis, a very funny, kind lady."

Ann B. Davis was supposedly a celibate lesbian. But there is no proof to back this up. She never discussed her sexuality.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church. A Christian church based in the USA which demands equality for homosexuals and legalised gay marriage.

That's how I remember her, from the "Love That Bob" sitcom of the 1950s, as the clip shows. Where she was the office secretary to a photographer (disregard the USAF Colonel's uniform he's wearing in the pic, I guess he was a Reservist or something, I don't remember that part, but he did fly his own private plane in the show). She won 2 Emmys in that role, so her credentials were well established before the "Brady Bunch", which I never watched. Also shown here is lesbian Nancy Kulp, her own first major recurring TV role, prior to "The Beverly Hillbillies" as Miss Jane Hathaway.

I love Ann B. Davis, she was great.

Having said that, wasn't she a known alcoholic and cocaine addict, even appearing on set and in scenes "loaded." I don't mean to insult her, as I say this planning what bar I'm going to after work. But inquiring minds want to know.

This is so bizarre. Just last week I was reading about how there should be a Brady Bunch reunion before another cast member passes. Alice was the best character and Ann was great in the other roles I've seen her in.

    R.I.P Ann B. Davis

Maybe it was her identical twin?

Aw, my entire childhood is dying off. This sucks. Bye Alice. I liked watching you as a kid (though I was really into Mr. Brady).
