The gimps make me cringe. Just when people are starting to think we aren't deviants. If straight people regularly walked around in gimp suits they might not look so out of place.

    Stupid, stupid, stupid question. Stupid.

Gay guys who buy into this homophobic bullshit need to be slapped. Cause it's not true.

Who says ALL Gay Pride Parades are the same.
If you ever travel to different cities (sometimes even in the same state) you'll see they all have their own character. Some are boring, some are racy some are entertaining etc. but like people, no two are the same.

I haven't seen anything that could be considered sexual in a gay pride parade ... sensual yes, sexual no.

I wonder myself... Maybe people will tell me Im just a kid, but... How the hell are gay people going to be respected ever if they do things that are considered unrespectful? I know that the starting point of being gay is usually seen as wrong, and that people no matter what are never going to see positive on other human beings because is not what they have been tought. But there is not other way than that to show that you are gay? Sure, gays shouldnt be straight acting, because there are douches everywhere, straight or gay, but, Isnt there any other way to show you are proud to be gay?

You can't compare boobs to penises. Women's boobs are just like men's pectorals. If men can go shirtless, why can't women? Tits aren't sexual organs.

It must be mainly in other states and countries because in Colorado the gay community self regulated several years ago because people are bringing their kids to the parade and the festivities

Sort of depends on the culture too ... For instance Japan's Annual Penis Festival

    slide_344534_3590996_free.jpg

As for the video, I think the parents have a really good description that is it a Pride parade of diversity and people make the choice to go. No one is force anyone to participate or watch and any sexual content is actually a very small part of the entire festivity.

I hate street festivals/parades. Just always seems a drunken frenzy and mob mentality. Also a few I've seen are very marketing oriented.

    Never too much.

What other pride parades celebrate sexuality? Oh yeah - the Saint Patrick's Day Parade.

I maybe projecting stereotypes but my field Science is not on the list of typical gay professions, no wonder I don't feel I fit in sometimes, if you look at this list, most are service industry professions and probably don't pay very well, with an actor/actress exception. These make up the 'majority' of work within the gay community, I am not sure why gay men and women gravitate towards these especially when for years 'a good job' meant something in US manufacturing, even the IT profession does not attract gay people. While the rest of America thinks the same way, I don't think I should have to change into one of these base careers in order to balance my chosen profession of science and my lifestyle because the people in my profession don't understand these other ones and the people in them, this maybe why I am still single icon_confused.gif

You will find these people among gay pride parades

    -Actor (and general entertainement industry)
-Designer (or the fashion industry in general)
    -Florist
    -Hairdresser
    -Nurse
    -Ballerina (aka dancer-gogo)
    -Professional in lgbt studies
    -professional photography
-gay bar tending (and anything related to gay club/bar management)
    -gay porn
    -gay escort services
    -clothing sales clerk-retail
    -Catering
    -figure skater
    -Interior Design
    -Theater
    -hotels
    -small business owner/boutique shops
    -building management
    -cashier
    -flight attendant
    -DJ/music industry

Where did you get that list? Sounds like a crock of stereotypical bullshit to me.

    Signed, gay corporate lawyer.

(BTW, there are lots of us.)
