Alot of the gay friendly cities that I hear about alot are overrated and expensive. Any gay friendly cities you know about that are cheap and low in crime?

Any city can be gay friendly...if you carry a gun and aren't afraid to use it. icon_twisted.gif

Charleston, SC is inexpensive and has a decent size young gay population. Great weather, beaches, and lot of 20 something gays. Not many bars but they can be fun. Diversity is lacking somewhat but nothing is perfect.

It is time for us gays to start discovering the mid sized and smaller cities because gay friendliness and progressive thinking is not confined to just the big, major cities and their suburbs. Five other gay friendly, progressive small to mid sized cities that come to mind are Madison WI, Ann Arbor MI, Bloomington IN, Ithaca NY, and Burlington VT.
