    On this day in 1994, the Boeing 777 took to the skies for the first time over Seattle. It has since gone on to be one of the most successful aircraft in history and one of the most beautiful.

    United Airlines was the first airline to use the Boeing 777 for commercial flights, which took place on June 7th, 1995 from LHR-IAD. Coincidentally, LHR and IAD were the first airports to have commercial Boeing 747 service back in 1970.

    2 - United Airlines with 74
    3 - Air France with 64
    4 - Singapore Airlines with 59
    5 - American Airlines with 57
    6 - Cathay Pacific with 55
    7 - British Airways with 54
    8 - All Nippon Airways with 51
    9 - Japan Airlines with 46
    10 - Qatar Airways with 39

    The operators with the least amount of Boeing 777's are:
    1 - Ceiba Intercontinental Airlines with 1
    2 - EuroAtlantic Airways with 1
    3 - Iraqi Airways with 1

    I agree with you , i often work the LAX-SYD on 777 300ER and it is a gem of a airplane for airline stewards , location and number of galleys and lavatories are well thought out
