So, i did an abdominal workout Monday. I did it for about 30 minutes and didn't even really feel sore afterwards. I was doing it with some football buddies too... and they didn't seem very sore either.

Next day my abdominals are hurting like fucking crazy. I couldn't piss, sneeze, or do anything without it hurting like hell icon_lol.gif i decided to just do cardio the next day and no lifting.

Yesterday it still hurt like hell... and when i went to football practice every little thing i did from running and tackling felt harder. Today is now Thursday... i did deadlift, and some strength training today. My abdominals were still hurting anytime i barely moved.

I do ab workouts every week! about 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes. They have never hurt as intense as this. I played a football game for 3 hours last week and wasn't even tired the next day.

So, has this happened to anyone else? I'm curious as to why it still feels like i kicked 100 times with steel toe boots in my abdominal area 3 days later.

I can only do them once a week because I always ache for a couple of days lol.

Tbf I never even started doing abs about 6 or 7 weeks ago though because I didn't know they were muscles icon_razz.gif

Are you new to ab work outs?

Soreness doesn't usually come on until a good 24 hours later after a workout. Maybe you pulled a muscle or something?

As lump mentioned, i thought i maybe pulled a muscle. Well, guess I'll wait and see if the pain goes away tomorrow icon_surprised.gif

Overtraining is one of my occasional hobbies. Enjoy the pain while it lasts. icon_biggrin.gif
