As it turned out it went really good. We sipped berry margaritas, had tacos and HE taught me how to re-ride a horse again. A man who's in control and I liked it for a change. SO we have another date at this hip Bar in Paradise Valley AZ.

    Question:

Now what? Do I talk about the weather? Business? Or a trip to Paris? He's a hot blooded Italian and I need to keep him entertained or something........

    I NEED MORE IDEAS......icon_idea.gif

The best way to keep a conversation going when you don't have a lot to say, is to ask the other guy questions -what he thinks - his interests (his horses?) about whatever.

    J,
You're a really cool guy - - - and I remember you're interested in old cars; hiking; eating healthy; nude beaches and a lot more. Talk about Hawaii (the parts you like). Let him do half the talking but when it's time for you to talk - you've got plenty of interests and experiences that will interest this guy. Maybe for your third date, it's time to go for a hike. Show him some places he may not know about.

I think it's good to actually DO something on a date. Something that challenges you (like your horse riding). Much better to do something and then go eat afterward where you can kick back & laugh about the fun you had.

You're a good guy to know. He will find out he's a lucky man.

Talk about the weather. That should keep things hot.

Talk about the china you'd like to buy, where the nursery would go, where to go on your honeymoon, the second and third jobs he's going to take up to support you and the kid in boarding-school.

Ask him open ended question that require him to tell you things like, what he likes to do, favorite sports teams, what he does on weekends, movies, book, favorite food, dessert, coffee (all to tuck in the back of your brain so when the time comes you can say, let's go have some apple pie and columbian roast coffee!) hee hee....sneaky. Let him do the talking and listen carefully. When he mentions something you know about....engage him in conversation. Hone in on those things you have in common but also learn from him what you don't know. Date....that's it...date! Forget the sex for now (imagine him naked but don't go there yet) and just get to know him.....old fashion dating!!! Has worked for generations...proven!

LMAO...you're so cruel.....that's funny! If you do this...then take one of those filters to wear over your nose and mouth because when he takes off running, chances are he's going to be kicking up a LOT of sand and dust in that desert! icon_cool.gificon_cool.gificon_cool.gificon_cool.gif

Why thank you and you have a sharp memory.

I am looking forward to our second visit. I am ready for this.

Your suggestions are good and appreciated and a fresh reminder to be real and myself.

I like to listen. That might be my best side. I just got back from a trip to San Francisco so I am sure he will want to hear about that.

He's a little more conservative than I am in some things and when I told him I like to be naked he asked when we went swimming (the first date), why did I have a swim suit on? Oh, I was being modest for a change!! hahah

I will let you know how it went. I hope it goes well. I am confident it will! icon_biggrin.gif

P.S. Nice to hear from you again and I hope all is well with you and yours!

I like to be random; see where the conversations leads: the great Pacific garbage patch, the episode of "The Twilight Zone, that always stuck with me.
