Orange is the New Red?

The New Civil Rights MovementLauren Scott, a transgender Air Force veteran running for Nevada State Assembly from District 30, rolled up an impressive 58% of the Republican Primary vote last Tuesday. She trounced Adam Kahn... a recent college graduate from the University of Nevada.

Kahn had the support of the Nevada Assembly Republicans, but Lauren was endorsed by popular Republican governor Brian Sandoval, who had appointed her to the state’s Equal Rights Commission in 2012...

Way to go Nevada Republicans, where, by the way, the Clark County Republican Party
has removed all objection to same-sex marriage and abortion in their party platform.

Someday, Texas will grow up to be Nevada.

That will never happen. Texas will always be the hot, humid land of intolerance and backwardness.

I thought that was Alabama? Didn't Houston elect a lesbian mayor or something?

No my friend it is Texas that is the worst. Houston's election of a lesbian mayor is a total fluke. She is most likely a willing lapdog for big corporate business.
