Probably as with much tabloid media, it both attracts and promotes ignorance/prejudice.

This is the danger of a media system whereby individual viewers can choose their own congenial sources of information. They rarely have their views challenged, and there are endless distracting arguments about the reliability or neutrality of their news sources.

yes, Faux News does seem to attract a certain demographic, (hetero white men) they must have a policy to show as much tits, ass, crotch and leg as possible without the sensors going off, like running 24/7 Carls Jr commercials, or watching secret sex messages through Howard Stern, I mean, a thing for blonde, bimbo central is so obvious, difficult to take Fox Hooters seriously...icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, but only if YOU don't watch it and stick to Fox.

The authors of the study cited would no doubt be shocked by article/thread title. The article explained the study in detail and I noted that the results can be summarized thusly:

Approximately half of right wing conservatives trust the Fox network to be accurate in its reporting. Democrats tend to be more divided in which network among the large ones offer the most accuracy in its reporting.

Wow. Hardly earth shattering new information there. I think the question posed by the New Republic article's author is a clear example of him being a troll by gratuitously insulting Fox viewers , such as my mother, who often watches Fox programs and she can best be described as a mainstream voter not aligned to either the extreme left or right.

I might laugh at excesses in Fox News but I understand obvious bias when it's thrown in my face, whether it's coming from the Right or the Left.

I watched it only a couple times. They seem to be a conservative channel. Lol, I saw the segment when they Trashed CBS about the Amazing Race Segment in Vietnam. But I usually stick to CNN News and Channel KCal 9 Los Angeles station. But whatever, if you have $$$, you can go on air and act like an idiot if you want.

If you are not attracted to MSNBC you are not smart.
If you disagree that Fox is for idiots, well you are just an idiot.

From your profile: "I am not at all typical in my views so that gets some people angry. Please accept that my views may be different but that is no reason to be unfriendly."

Seems like you're being mighty unfriendly here. Exactly who is sneering at who's political views?

    Perhaps these will help:

If you have XM and want more serious conservative talk without the screaming and yelling, give this a try.
